Just had a absolutely fantastic Turkey take away Sunday lunch, still lovely and hot when I got home ,Highly recommended 👍👍even if the owner was a bit abrupt 🤣🤣

We had a roast dinner yesterday for Father's Day and I must say it was awful ! all of it, We could not eat it, the Turkey was like rubber and the beef was way over cooked ! It looked like a frozen birds eye meal ! I went home and cooked my own dinner ! I would not recommend it, nobody came over to ask if it was ok, we even bought an extra fish and chips cos the dinner was so bad and that looked awful to, we will not be returning,

A brief visit for a drink and wind down after a 9 miles ramble in the area. The staff are really friendly and on the ball in terms of customer service. A plentiful selection of real ales available straight from the barrel all at £4.10p a pint. A really pleasant pub.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Food is excellent especially Sunday lunch.

Unfortunately, I can only give 5 *'s. It deserves many for for its friendliness of staff, quality of ales and excellent food.Not much more can be said. This is a pub which shouts "Please come back" and you will.

If you like onion rings, amazing food and great staff then this is the place for you. Massive onion rings in the lightest crispy batter are a definite must when you come here. Leave enough room for a pudding as they're pretty darn good too. We will definitely be going again

Booked last minute for a family meal wanting to try somewhere different, two fussy eaters one also being vegetarian. On arrival we had a lovely welcome offering us a selection of tables and we decided on a cosy table by the fire. Good choice of wine and beers which were offered to us straight away. Great choice of menu with the curry night also on offer. We chose soup, ckn wings and two lots of calamari to start. All amazing and well presented, calamari dishes had the best looking side salad I’ve seen for a long time! Mains was 3 of us opting for the sirloin steak with mushroom and Stilton sauce and the vegetarian having the halloumi skewer. Steaks were perfect, the service was excellent. Thanks for a great evening!

Large pub, it was freezing in there. Everyone sat with coats on eating Sunday lunch. Would have had a couple more drinks,but seeing 2 or 3 coal fires none lit in the dead of winter was an awful experience

Beautiful food. Lovely atmosphere and plenty of places to sit inside and out. I would recommend booking. We went on a Sunday afternoon. Sunday lunch was lovely. Starters were amazing!
