Toby Carvery Rhoose in Barry in The Vale of Glamorgan

Food was nice, but took too long for them keep up with the demand. Very busy, too busy really for how many staff were cooking the food. Had to wait for bacon, eggs, beans, potatoes etc. Won't rush back due to slowness of food coming out of the kitchen. Drinks are expensive when you have a cup ot Tea etc. Worked out at over £9 per person, when food is supposed to be £5.95.

Was reasonably good. Self service. Someone needs to talk to the chef about how to refill the food containers. To get the biggest number of people through quicker, it's is TOTALLY daft to take out the food item to fill out of the kitchen leaving nothing out front when the logical thing would be to fill another bowl bring it out front and swap for the close to empty bowl. Might mean a bit more washing up but a much faster customer throughout and more customer satisfaction. I know what I'm talking about, it's our family business

OH MY GOD I LOVVVVVVE THE TOBY CARVERY!!!!! I had just picked up a friend from the airport and we were both starving so we popped in and absolutely stuffed our faces! I do go there quite regularly for a Sunday roast/takeaway but to just pop in for half an hour and pile your plate high with the freshest, most delicious food AT THAT PRICE was just HEAVENLY! I can't recommend it enough AND we had an absolutely fabulous waitress too!

Revisited today...8-3-2022...extremely busy...and as usual excellent service.Lovely to see cabbage available.Revisited again today....15-7-2021...still a very high standard of service, and a special thank you to Amelia our server....probably the most attentive waitress I’ve ever witnessed ... continually looking at each and every table while serving others. Excellent.Revisited today 13-10-2020 had a Carvery and Banoffee Sundae. Still 5 star and coping with COVID well.Had a carvery .. very nice and all...topped up with diet Pepsi's (refills system) and a Knickerbocker glory....excellent.

Nice roast dinners. I had lamb and beef which were nicely pink. Hubby had gammon and turkey, he was lucky enough to get first slices from a new bird. Good selection of vegetables to go with them too.

Just enjoyed a hearty breakfast at the Toby Carvery Rhoose, what can I say? I’m no stranger when I comes to “Service Excellence”. However, it’s nice to experience it too. Great food and quality service. Well done TEAM Toby! I met with my Daughter at 15:30pm , so we had coffees. The young Lady who served us was lovely, she was always warm, welcoming and friendly. When I came in I was originally greeted by a young Man who was as warm and friendly.We ordered billionaire's cheesecake and more coffees. We were really put at ease and made to feel that nothing was a too much. The food was amazing, the table was nice and clean and I would definitely recommend this restaurant. We really had a fantastic time.

Really nice food not much veg selection but the Yorkshire puds are massive. Friendly staff. Would go there again.

This Toby carvery is situated on the outskirts of Barry near the Cardiff Airport. There is a large free car park with a Travelodge. There is a small menu that runs along side the carvery. There were three meats available at the time I visited. Staff were friendly and its reasonably priced.

It's ok. Staff were very friendly and helpful. VEGI toad in the hole.... They forgot to assemble it.... It was 3 sausages and a Yorkshire pudding.... Tasted ok I was told.I had Gammon and Beef carvery and again was ok. Bottomless drinks a plus, clean and tidy.No one Inc staff wearing masks which I find a little odd although I understand it's not law any more.
