Waterloo Tea House Penarth in The Vale of Glamorgan

Went there on our lunch break. Ordered food and after half an hour went to ask where it was and they hadn’t put the order through, didn’t have time to wait then so had to get a sandwich from greggs very disappointed as the food looked nice.

Excellent coffee and salted caramel cake. Friendly service.

Nice tea and nice staff. The cakes look awfully sad though.

Just popped in for a filter coffee, and that was just fine. Crucially, the staff were delightful and lovely.

Lovely coffee & loads of speciality teas plus unusual cakes to try. Have also had lunch here a few times and have not been disappointed!

The old chicken Panko was really nice but they have changed the recipe and I’m afraid to say the new recipe is terrible. The bread was soggy. Previously they used proper brioche buns. The ingredients are not the same. Won’t be buying again.

Visited on a Saturday morning and had a really nice brunch. Great vegan options on the menu, everything was quick and delicious. Felt very safe with all covid restrictions and while distancing meant we had to wait a little to be seated, it was less than 5 minutes and the staff kept us up to date.

Great coffee (flat white). Their smoothies are good too.BUT… the carrot cake!!! I hear it “calling out” to me every time I walk past! So delicious! I’ve always had the loveliest service here and feel welcomed.

I sat in Waterloo Tea for many hours end of last year when I was revising for my exam. Their coffees are so good, and their selection of teas are huge. The Cronuts they sell are to die-off and the avocado toast is my go-to (sorry to be so basic!). Would recommend! I think the shop in town centre is slightly better compared to the one at the pier because the one at the pier can get very busy, and seating becomes limited quite quickly!

Amzing tea room with a large selection of teas and a very friendly staff. The best thing remains the view on the Beach.
