Ian Chatfield Butchers & Delicatessen in Tonbridge and Malling

When I'm on site in Tonbridge I always try to pop in to Ian Chatfield Butchers for a lunchtime pie and/or pasty as they are simply delicious... Filling are packed with meat and just a delight to eat...

We get all our meet from Ian Chatfield and have placed our Christmas order for this year. The team are all really knowledgeable and excellent proper butchery skills an as an example I have watched them butterfly a leg of lamb and then apply one of their lovely marinades. Excellent local produce and you know the provenience of the meat buying - cannot recommend them highly enough

Have been using Chatfields for about 3.5 years now and have never been disappointed. From a coffee and bacon roll at the deli to xmas turkey, always a success. Was thrilled to see the delivery service start as we moved a little bit further away earlier in the year but their delivery service has put their BBQ boxes and tomahawk steaks back on the regular menu in our household!

Great local family butcher. Excellent produce, locally sourced meat, friendly service, ready advice.Chatfield has a great range of meat, game (in season) and offal. The sausages are particularly notable. Sadly, the deli counter is no more, but a fantastic BBQ range.Chatfield's meat is all local, which I think is hugely important - they can tell you exactly where it's come from and who has farmed it. If you're in the least bit concerns about the carbon footprint of the food you eat (and you should be) then buy local!The service is always friendly and helpful. If you need something out of the ordinary then it's always worth asking. In my experience, with a couple of days notice they can usually get what you're after. They're also generous with their advice and hints and tips. Even sharing favourite recipes.It may be a little more expensive than a supermarket, but the meat is better, has travelled less far, you're supporting a local business which is supporting local farms. Plus...y'know. The sausages.

The delivery service couldn't be more friendly or more professional. The quality of the produce is always superb, portions are generous and it's so good to know that it is all carefully locally sourced. The delivery service is amazing but I miss going into store as the staff are all so knowledgeable, friendly and happy to chat about how your going to cook your meat. Just proves that you can't beat a local butcher!

Had a large order delivered on Friday in a very professional & courteous manner and covid safe environment. So far we've had some sausages with breakfast, they were lovely, some huge chicken thighs and breasts which are marinating in the fridge for later and currently cooking some diced beef in a stew. Very pleased with our order and look forward to visiting the store in person when we are able to.

I’ve been using these guys for years. Their meat quality is 10/10, they are usually offering a range of deals and their staff are always super friendly! But the thing that makes them stand out above others, is their deli counter and their convenient food options. They have a selection of already made meals for you to take home to save you cooking, and they have a variety of deli options which are perfect for a fresh lunch. After going to the gym in the morning, I occasionally run in to grab a salad and a coffee to take to work. Me and friends are also absolutely obsessed with their baguettes. Plenty of options and they don’t hold back on the ingredients! Would recommend

I have been to the shop (pre Covid) and the team are super friendly and helpful. Fabulous choice and sensible prices.I have had 7 deliveries. All delivered as ordered in chilled boxes in great condition.They started doing sausages in 500g packs which meant I could try different varieties and not risk not liking a kilo. Every variety has been excellent. Chicken, steak, pork, bbq packs. Everything is really good.I recommended to a friend who is now a regular customer.I can only recommend and suggest you give them a try. Like me, you will be a repeat customer.

Service has always been first class. Always going the extra mile to deliver an exceptional service. Friendly staff, great delivery service and always with a smile.The produce is always fresh and tasty. The chicken thighs are succulent, whilst the mince is full of flavour, chicken breasts are tender and sausages make the perfect toad in the hole!

First time ordering online from Ian Chatfield Butchers and what a great experience. Easy to order, great quality, and prompt friendly delivery.I even mentioned if things like sausages that I freeze could be packaged in small lots which makes it easier to defrost etc, and I couldn't believe it when steaks etc were packed as singles. How brilliant is that. I normally have the hassle of re-bagging everything before freezing so this was great.Definitely the way forward for ordering meet in future!Thanks to everyone for making shopping a pleasure!!
