Best Sunday roast in the area. Fabulous belly of pork with crackling, home made yorkshires, fresh vegetables and simply the best roast potatoes. All brought be together with delicious gravy.

Only put one star as you can't select zero!!Absolutely disgusted!! With this place had a table booked for 7 o'clock turned up and the whole place was closed, after calling them they said it was due to covid-19, understandable yes but no email or phone call to let us know😡 will not be booking here again!! Went to the Moat instead!! Very nice place friendly staff great food highly recommended 👌

We booked in for dinner, arrived earlier than the time we had booked, the staff were welcoming and very helpful. The whole place was very clean and tidy. Our food was hot tasty and well presented, my only regret was not using many years ago, going forward i will be returning 100%.I have recommended to quite a few now and no one had given me any negative feed back.

My wife rang on Tuesday evening to find if they had any vegan options available for lunch the following day. She was told they didn't but the chef would sort something out for us. So we booked for 3 adults and one infant. We duly arrived Wednesday lunchtime and were presented with a hand written menu giving us the choice of 4 vegan starters and about 6 vegan lunches. Boy. Were we spoiled!!!! My wife and daughter ordered the Sage and onion vegetable cobbler. I had roasted butternut squash with walnuts, cranberries and pine nuts served with sauteed potatoes, onions and peppers. Our grandson had a starter of garlic chestnut mushrooms served on garlic ciabatta. The portions were more than big enough. The value was fantastic, less than £60.00 for 4 including drinks. Bearing in mind that we could have easily been told there were no options for us, the lengths they went to were incredible. We can only highly recommend this establishment. If you do want to visit and try their vegan options, just give them a day or so notice!

Really enjoyed our visit there. The staffs there were nice and friendly. The food was really good, much better than norm pub food. They also have good awareness of gluten free in their food. It was very nice to know that the gravy for the Sunday lunch was gluten free anyway. We will definitely visit again if we are around the area.

Lovely roast here. The interior is quite basic/dated, price is about average, but the service and food were great. Loved my dessert!

I went to a local boot fare and thought I'd look for a lovely pub for a Sunday roast.. let me tell you now the staff are friendly and very welcoming and helpful. The roast diners are so nice and tender . I had roast beef and slow cooked pork belly with all the trimmings, it was out of this world soooo juicy and so many flavours . The Yorkshire pudding was again delicious topped off with beautiful surroundings. I'll definitely be coming back with the family.Definitely recommend to anyone .
