The Chaser Inn in Tonbridge and Malling

Lovely setting. Very busy, sunny day. Service was excellent - wait time between starter and main was long, but understandable given it was packed.Food on the other hand, for the price, disappointing. Some was piping hot, some lukewarm as though it had been waiting to be served a while. Some portion sizes decent, some not....a spoonful of mash with sausage and mash not adequate. Burgers were the biggest let down...2 of our party commented they'd had better at Wetherspoons!! Onion rings were soggy...fat not hot enough in the fryer! 1/2 a rasher of bacon at extra cost. Desserts are very expensive for the size. Shame, as have visited before and used to be so much nicer and worth the money.

Location very good. Food not so good . I ordered the burger which at £15.95 was a complete let down . Stale bun came with 2 very dry burgers , a slice of red onion and a tomato . French fries in a small basket. I wouldn't eat here again!

Been here many times. Most recently in Feb. Child friendly, attentive staff, food amazing. Always best to book in advance, so as not to be disappointed. Never had a bad meal here yet after several visits. LOVE this place!

We stopped in here for a coffee. Although it was busy, the staff were friendly and accommodating. Although I didn't have any, the food looked great, so I'd definitely consider calling here again when I'm a bit hungrier. Nice clean interior too.

Good food and a carried menu. Nice country pub with good choice of beers. Loses 2 stars as started didn't arrive but good when chased and main had mayo when asked for none. Probably more grumpy than normal after a busy day and suffering from a hurty foot, so visit and judge for yourself.

The venue and staff were nice, however they claimed it was fully booked so we waited at the bar for one of the many empty tables to become free. Eventually it and we proceeded to order. The menu had a wide range of options from which I chose the burger. Was utterly disappointed, carelessly cooked and built. The ingredients were of a good standard but the cooking standard jusy wasn’t there. The pub could be considerably nicer however on this occasion the food was a let down especially at this price point.

Very popular pub/restaurant. Busy as it should be. Good to see. So much to choose from on the menu with a varied selection for vegan/vegetarian customers. One downer - memo to chef, more custard on the syrup pudding please. 😋

Very little car parking, and cold inside. Mains were brought out to us before we'd finished our starters! Tasty but small portion and no evidence of the pesto sauce mentioned on the menu - which I raised with the waitress but.... nothing. Very nice soap and handcream in the ladies.

Not been to the chaser for a while but it still has that traditional pub feel we brits like. The food was very nice and there were plenty of extras on offer for our large party. The service was as good as you would want it to be and they kept the water plus nibbles and later on veg coming.Yet again I couldn’t fit a pudding in so that’s a good sign about how much food you get.Oh and my gravy had a nice surprise kick to it.

It's a lovely setting with lots of nearby parking. They were very covid secure and I saw lots of tables being cleaned. We had to wait 25 minutes for our drinks order to be taken despite it not being overly busy.The fish I had was delicious however the potatoes accompanying it were cold. When I brought it up with the staff I didn't get an apology or really feel believed however they did replace with some hot fries. The rest of the food was mixed with some excellent items and some below expectation but overall not worth the high prices.
