We booked a table as we were going onto the cinema later, we had a roast dinner which was delicious, nicely cooked, very friendly staff and nothing was too much trouble, it was quite noisy as it was fully booked but overall a lovely place to enjoy a meal. Clean toilets, friendly staff, will definitely go again.

Pleasant staff, nice and warm. Food served on cold plates. Risotto tasty enough but made with long grain rice.

Excellent country pub. Came here for a family celebration. Sunday roast was great and we enjoyed some tasty desserts too. Service was quick plus staff were very friendly and attentive. Cozy rural feel with heating provided by log fires. Good selection of cask beers. Went for a peaceful countryside walk to work off the food!

We have just had lunch at the Duke of Wellington Pub and Restaurant. Lovely food and service. Staff are very friendly and made us feel very welcome. Dog friendly inside and out. Lovely, fresh mushroom soup and the bruschetta and the roasts were great too. The sticky toffee pudding was also spot on at the end. Definitely a Pub Restaurant we recommend.

Family lunch for party of 12Celebrating an 80th birthday we booked a table outside undercover. The food was brought out together, hot and it was delicious. Great value for money. Service is friendly and attentive and nothing negative to say at all. Highly recommend this lovely country pub.

Inextricably humble. This locals pub in the heart of Ryarsh is firstly a historic monument. It celebrated the quirks of bygone era architecture. Low beams, large open fires, comfortable seating in the bar area and a capacious area for the restaurant. The seating area outside looked the part, unfortunately it was too dark in the late evening to make use of.This is good old fashioned English pub service and locally sourced homemade food. It’s hearty, fresh and considerately prepared. The ribs, a recommendation by the bar staff, was immense in size. The meat, covered in a good dollop of sauce, fell off the bone and consumed without cutlery. The side of chips and salad, freshly prepared, complementing beautifully. The light and fruity Eton Mess dessert raised a smile. Fluffy and delicate.I’m happy that The Nevill Bull just up the road was shut. The Duke of Wellington is a gem.
