Had an amazing lunch today . Very welcoming to dogs and their humans EVERYONE there loves dogs ,from the moment we arrived a bowl of fresh water was brought for our fur kid followed by a dog treat while we waited for out lunch to arriveI've not had a better gammon steak anywhere else . My husband loved the liver and horseradish mash and our dog was over the moon with the doggie menu 😃Will definitely be going back soon x

Was going so well........A beautiful pub, the waitress was superb, the food was excellent and there was nothing to complain about, we were heading for a 5 star review and then......All of a sudden people started turning up with dogs inside the pub. Someone even took one through the kitchen door! Then dogs getting excited with other dogs and barking inside and then perhaps worst of all, petting the dogs and then serving food.Perhaps even more strangely, the pub was at a lovely comfortable temperature and then a member of staff decided to light the open fire causing a lot of smoke inside! Then they opened a window and it was absolutely freezing! Strange.Other than that it is a lovely pub, it really is.

Saturday night was Thai night. Nothing other than Thai. It was very average nothing outstanding at all. Lovely pub tho very olde worlde she about the food

Lovely food and the bar staff made us, Cooper and bear our furry friends very welcome. The dog food menu is a great fun addition I wish all bars where that accomodating

Beautiful, clean country pub with generous food portions, great atmosphere and friendly customer service. The staff go above and beyond to make sure you’re comfortable and satisfied. Perfect with restrictions as well considering they have a covered marquee outside and lots of tables to sit at. 5 stars!

Get your nuts roasting on the open fire. This classic English country pub has warmth in both character and by the open fire. The welcoming staff are courteous, offering perceptive down to earth service.The food is everything i could ask for better from a rural public house: hearty, fresh and local. Yes, the scotch egg was soft, yolky, the after taste of the seasoned sausage meat bellowed through. The pie, floated atop a cloud of creamy potato mash, lifted richly by the gravy and tamed by the crunch of the string beans. The dessert, a beautifully soft rendition of the humble bread and butter pudding was mellow, soft and light.This is unadulterated country side feasting at a great price.
