Vauxhall Inn in Tonbridge and Malling

Good decor, plesent atmosphere nice range of drinks at the bar. Let down by slow service, and a long wait for food, the meal it's self was cook well and had plenty of flavor but portion size was rather small not 100 % convinced prices reflect good value for money, I will visit again to see if longer then average wait times and slow service were a one off/bad night. 3.5⭐️

Just been treated to my Mothers Day meal here. What a treat. Beautiful old building, excellent table service and the food was delicious Thank you to all concerned for making my day extra special.

Very pleasant location by the river. Reasonably priced food. My pie pastry was rock hard, it's typical of its type.

Went for a birthday meal, very disappointing. Had to send the starters back because all were cold (cold soup and mushrooms not pleasant). When they were bought again the soup was once again cold. We decided to leave as couldn't be sure the main course would be any different. Was told they were short staffed in the kitchen, not an acceptable excuse. The staff were very apologetic, it wasn't their fault but the kitchen. Won't visit again.

Just had another meal at the Vauxhall inn.Been here a few times over the years and never had a bad meal. I mainly go for a British style meal and yet again the steak and ale pie with mash and veg didn’t disappoint. Maybe a bit more mash please. Had a chicken strips starter which I think maybe a recent addition. The atmosphere is always very friendly with lots of staff rushing around. Nothing like it on a wet and windy day.

Very pleasant venue and staff. Disappointingly on the evening I was there the two interesting fish dishes were off the menu. As a non meat eater my choice was very limited- two deep fried dishes and a vegan beetroot and aubergine 'burger'. I opted for the burger which was really mashed vegetables in a bun. Food very disappointing which was a shame. Not much choice if you are a vegetarian!!

We visited the Vauxhall Inn while staying at the Premier inn that is adjacent to it on the 19th November 2021.We had family that joined us for the evening meal.The Inn itself is beautiful inside and out.The staff were so nice and also very professional.The food was top class and every one of us cleared our plates. I had the Steak in Red wine Pie and it was probably the best Pie I had tasted. ( complements to the Chef).The next morning we went in for Breakfast as this is where the Premier Inn uses. We were met at the door by a Lady called Millie and Her personality shone, She was happy doing the orders for breakfast and took time to great everyone with Her beautiful smile.( what a way to start the day).Breakfast was cooked to order and was delicious, everything was fresh and piping hot.We are staying until Monday so will be visiting the Vauxhall In. Again.Thank you to all the staff for a lovely experience.Well done all.

Really good food! Quick service and the waiter we had was so lovely and friendly/funny. It made it a really lovely experience which we've all not had in a while! Would recommend anyone to come here for a pint and quick bite or for a full sit down meal you wouldn't be disappointed.

We visited as a party of 4 on 9th October for dinner as we were staying at the Premier Inn and I must say what an amazing experience. We have never encountered such fantastic, polite, helpful bunch of staff, all of them were great. Food was exceptional and reasonably priced. Merlot on the wine list would have been an added bonus but we settled for a Cabernet. We was given an ice bucket to take a bottle of white back to our room which was a great touch. The amazing experience continued the following day with breakfast, once again, great staff serving us and fab well cooked selection. WE WILL BE BACK

Natasha was our waitress and she was fantastic, clear, knowledgeable and well presented.I am used to being offered really bland, predictable vegan offerings but wow! Fish and chips, peas, mushy peas or baked beans, what a change and delicious, followed by vegan mocha tart. I went with meat eaters and the burgers that they ordered looked impressive. Clean tables, good parking, quick efficient service, what more could you ask for?
