Max's Genuine Italian Food in Tunbridge Wells

This place is next level good! Second time here and it's literally the best food in RTW. The fried bread is the greatest thing in the world. The carbonara will make you fall in love with Nona all over again. Go here and go here again. And again.

Absolutely lovely place. Authentic food and ingredients, lovely staff, and great service. Visited for Valentines Dinner and it was such an intimate authentic dinner. Very grateful. We shared the tomato bruscheta then had a pizza and ragu pasta.

This is a fantastic family run Italian with delicious homemade food which we cannot rate highly enough! Went last minute early in the evening with our infant and the staff were friendly, incredibly accommodating and the food was some of the best Italian we've eaten. We will certainly be back when in the area. The others reviews of this place are spot on too - give it a go 👌

Planned to go out for dinner with some friends not knowing where to go, found this place and will 100% say I'll go back again, friendly staff AMAZING food and it tasted to fresh, best food I have had it a very long time, menu has very good choices and is very well priced. So glad we found this little slice if heaven.Recommend to anyone.

It was a first time visit for us. The decor is a little dated but the seating was comfy.We ordered a D’Avola which was well priced and some bread & olives whist we scanned the menu. They served nice olives, but dry white baton bread slices, so I asked for oils.The Bruschetta is served using pizza dough base which was dry. The Arancini had a lovely meat centre, soft rice & crisp shell .. quite nice we thought.Service was a good pace and the staff are nice, quiet helpful.I had a middle course of Melanzane Parmigiana which was just perfect in every way.Note the Ragu here is wild boar. It’s fatty I know, so we opted for the chicken & mushroom and the pork cheeks in a spicy sauce, both with pasta. Both were lovely, really well cooked and the pastas were perfect. Neither of us eat dessert, they served complimentary Limoncello.Our bill was a reasonable £90We’d definitely return as the food was lovely, just a couple of dislikes with the dry white baguette and bruschetta base.We certainly enjoyed our night 👍7/10

The food here was mouth watering and the presentation of each dish was delicious in itself. All dishes are homemade which adds to the authenticity and originality. I had the rice balls filled with Ragu as a starter and i over the moon with the taste.

A gem in the heart of Tunbridge Wells, this place has incredible food, a delightful chilled atmosphere, and thoroughly lovely staff.Highly recommended.

Excellent authentic Italian food and a gem of a find when we visited on a weekend stay. Family run restaurant with generous portions and attentive service. Seafood dishes were fresh and would definitely recommend 👌

Excellent Experience. We throughly enjoyed our evening at Stelle D'Italia. The greeting, the service and the food were exceptional. Would highly recommend this restaurant if you are visiting Tunbridge Wells.
