Prince Of Kent Restaurant in Tunbridge Wells

The staff and the ambience was nice. But the food was 😖. The chicken dishes were pathetic

Just a take out on my first visit but genuinely one of the tastiest baltis I've EVER had

We've just ordered from the Prince of Kent, 2 curries.....and the amount of meat in each dish was a joke, probably 5-7 very small pieces of meat.I phoned them up and they basically said "that's all you get, thank you very much".Very disappointed, my advice, don't waste your money on this place.

I CAME TO THIS RESTAURANT FOR A BIRTHDAY MEAL HAD COLD FOOD MISSING ITEMS OVER 2 HOURS WAIT STAFF RUDE AND TOTALLY CLUELESS CHARGED US FULL PRICE FOR FOOD UNEATABLE AND STAFF DIS NOT CARE APART FROM ONLINE ORDERS. I WAS NOT RUDE BUT STATED THIS WAS NOT RIGHT TO WAIT THIS LONG NO APPOLOGY AND SPOKE LIKE THEY DONT WANT MONEY HONESTLY AVOID BUSINESS IS A JOKE WAS A REGULAR CUSTOMER PRE BOOKED A TABLE GOT SERVED LAST AND TOTALLY LIKE WE WAS NOT THERE HAD TO EAT FOOD WITH NO PLATES. STAFF HAVE NO CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS.

We have takeaway food from the Prince of Kent often and it is never a disappointment. We are booked for a meal in the restaurant next month and cannot wait! Staff are very friendly and efficient. Edited to add pics of new menu!

First time I have used this curry house and I'll be going back. We had a delicious meal served by very friendly helpful staff. The menu had a good selection and the food was excellent. Thank you

Went with a friend on New Years Eve. The customer service from one waiter was just about the worst I've ever come across. We were ignored and signalled to sit down and wait with a rude hand gesture. This was disappointing for the restaurant as all other staff were perfectly polite and helpful. Anyway when the food came there were so many huge chunks of lemon rind in everything we had ordered it was off-putting.

No offence to the staff who were lovely when I picked up my take away, but the food was terrible. We spent £41 and got 4 different dishes. We actually couldn’t even finish one I felt so bad throwing away that food. £41 is not cheap for what is 2 starters and 2 main courses. I felt sick right after everything was soooo sweet, like way too sweet. I am a fan of Asian food and I cook it myself. Again, no offence to the staff but you cannot charge premium prices (we’re not in London, it’s cheaper at Dishoom) and not deliver on quality. I gave it 2 stars for the staff, the food was 1.

Wow! home made mango chutney and lime pickle. Marvelous tasty authentic Indian food served by knowledgeable staff who obviously enjoy serving such excellent food. Highly recommended.
