Tarkari Tandoori Takeaway in Tunbridge Wells

If there was an option to leave zero stars then I would ... ordered at 5.30 to be told food will arrive at 7.30 .. a two hour wait! I then receive a text at 6.55 to say there’s been a delay in my order and will arrive at 7.50. I receive a phone call at 6.50 too to say my order will be cancelled on the card payment but asked us to pay by cash when food arrived due to being so late and he took £10 off the total amount. 7.50 comes and still no food, 20 minutes later I ring to find out what is going on and get told the driver has just left or was just leaving ... 9pm comes and still no food, by this time 50 minutes had passed and it does not take nearly an hour to find my house.. we then phone tarkari to find out where the driver is to be told he is 10 minutes away. Give it 10 minutes and still nothing so we phone back and say we want to cancel the food as we have waited four hours since ordering by this point and we were all fed up!!! The driver then sends a text to say where he is and when he will arrive, still nothing at this point but tell him we have cancelled. He then rings to say where he is and asks where we are, not understanding a word of English when we tell him we have cancelled the order and that he can turn around and go back. After an agonising phone call with him trying to get it through him that we had cancelled he then texts saying “why have we not paid? It will be reported!”To say we are not happy is an understatement!So glad we will not be ordering from here again! We are very ashamed of this service and length of waiting time is appalling!

Was very easy to place my order, and the person was polite. My food was delivered on time as expected and the driver was polite and friendly. My food came hot and fresh, all my items accounted for and more pleasingly the food was lovely. Great night, great food!

I have absolutely no idea how good the food is or not, because after ordering for deliver over an hour and 45 minutes ago, it still hasn't turned up. I called the restaurant and spoke to someone who sounded completely disinterested, was informed that they would be at LEAST another 40 minutes away. Completely disgraceful and abjectly pathetic customer service.

A mixed bag, sometimes its the best, sometimes its poor. We usually collect as delivery wait can be longer. The nan bread is the best around, try the garlic nan

Bit of a mixed bag here, has been great in the past but last couple of times food quality is poor, very long wait and missing stuff from order. I collected one order and two items were missing (out of 6) and got told 'not his problem and manager will sort next time I order'. I'm not sure there will be a next time which is a shame as used to be great

Generous portions lamb was tender, the sauce was rich and delicious, even the rice was perfect! Felt like we'd ordered from a nice restaurant rather than just a takeaway, the food was really so so good, Well worth it and don´t think I´ll order from anywhere else again.

I tried Tarkari for the first time today. Brilliant value for money. The food was delicious and I would definitely recommend the Rogan Josh Chicken in particular. The Peshwari naan was also lovely; very fluffy and rich. All the food came piping hot and on time. Only opened for a few weeks now, but (already) the best Indian in Tunbridge Wells in my opinion. Keep up the good work guys.

Had alot of curries in the past this is by far the best in a long time! The nan breads are massive and I think the best I've ever had. This will now be my new go to Indian takeaway!

Having never eaten Indian food before I was taken aback by how nice the food from Tarkari really was. Fantastic food, great service and prompt delivery. I have since ordered from them again and again. Highly recommended.

A great new takeaway experience in Southborough!!Food was superb and tasted true to its root nothing like what jar spices produces,Definitely recommend Tarkari for curry lovers to try!!
