The Halfway House in Tunbridge Wells

Brilliant atmosphere for an afternoon in the sun. Excellent beer on tap and fabulous staff.

This is a gem of a place. Really quirky and old world inside, but with masses of outdoor space and facilities for good weather.

Nice place halfway...always something going on. The food is decent and the large outdoor sitting area makes this a nice stop halfway.

Good beer, frien fcc my crowd, indoors and out

A truly excellent country pub with at least TWELVE real ales inside and I'm told even more outside in warmer weather. Nice food and friendly staff. Very large outside area with large covered building for when it rains. We are returning there again tomorrow ;-)

Proper ale, nice place, everything just right

We called in hungry and thirsty after a morning touring the area researching ancestry. What a fabulous olde world pub. Warm welcome, local ales, lovely food... can recommend the pan fried duck with bubble and squeak. Glad we stopped. Next time we are in the area I'll hope you've fattened up another duck lol. Thanks we enjoyed our visit and our lunch.

My all time favourite pub, always with the best selection of beers

Having previously had a meal in the garden last year which was excellent, inside there is a busy, friendly atmosphere reminiscent of Sunday lunchtimes of old. Choose from a good varied menu and local beers, tasty food well prepared and promptly served to our table. Full marks.Highly recommended.
