Fantastic service for a family birthday meal and lovely menu as expected! We really enjoyed the seasonal cocktails🍹

I celebrated my 60th birthday at the Kentish Hare in January. It was amazing, nothing was too much trouble and none of the 20 guests felt rushed in any way. The food was just perfect and designed around my own choices which meant special things to my family. I am very excited to be going back today Mother's Day to enjoy Sunday lunch with my Mum. Thank you to everyone at the Kentish Hare for making every meal special

Thank you to a the Fabulous Staff at The Kentish Hare for a lovely evening. We visited the restaurant for the first time this weekend (although have intended to go for a while now!) having been given a Kentish Hare Gift Voucher from one of my amazing and very generous clients for Christmas.Great, friendly, polite and professional service. Lovely food and local produce and nice to see very different options available on a menu.Impressive drinks list with local beers and cider. If you can’t decide, the friendly staff are happy to present a tasting option first!!!!Thank you to Mark who was perfectly attentive and knowledgeable and indulged my husband with the beer and cider decider. The warm welcoming atmosphere is just right here.Karen Alexandra Beauty & Well-Being Tonbridge will definitely be recommending The Kentish Hare.

Early Sat evening dinner and almost everything seemed to be over-salted, my monkfish, my wife's cod and even our friend's lamb. Starters and puddings were good. We did mention this to one of the waiting staff but got no response. Very disappointing

Fantastic place. The food was as good as Michelin starred places we have eaten in (just slightly over salted for my taste), excellent wine list, beautiful pub. Staff not overly fussy. We left very full and very drunk for £90/head (vs £150+ in London for this standard). Will be back!

Good food, great service, but not perfect! We booked and chose the lunchtime three course set menu.We were greeted immediately by a warm welcome and seated immediately in a clean, pleasant restaurant. The waitress was quick to serve with a smile .Food was generally good, and some exceptional- the beetroot and goats cheese tartlett was amazing; however, the braised shin beef ragu was a disappointment and felt heavy with not much depth of flavour. The fish croquettes were too salty as was the Cornish pollack. The buttermilk panacotta was superb, but the sticky toffee pudding was very average and had the texture of sponge cake with very little richness or texture.I'm glad I went, but was it worth £112 for two of us (Inc 2 glasses of wine) I'm not sure.

Lovely New Year's lunch here today. Staff couldn't be more attentive and friendly! Food so delicious, and a great kids menu too with big portions! Really lovely place that made our day very special.

The second time we've been here for the Sunday lunch - and it was just as good as the first time! It might be the closest roast potatoes to homemade as I've found! The starters, mains and desserts are always well presented and delicious - almost impossible not to have 3 courses!

🐇 After months of perving over The Kentish Hare’s Instagram posts and Eat'n'mess telling us we’d love it, we finally went this weekend.Spoiler alert, we absolutely loved it. From the moment we walked in to the moment we left, the service was sincere and friendly and every course delicious in its own right.Highlights have to be the starters, my Chicken Terrine (the first I’ve ever had) was delicious. I hope this dish is a constant on the menu because I need to have it again, also brownie points to the Kentish Hare for serving it with more than enough bread. The set menu (Monday to Saturday) is absolutely brilliant value. 2 courses for £25 or 3 for £28 - obviously we went for 3.Go there!
