Fantastic pub. Proposed to my partner last weekend there during a life gig. They were very acommodating and reserved two outside tables at the last minute in preperation.

·

Lovely Lovely pub, fab garden, friendly welcoming staff, lush wine! Will be back...particularly special as my bf proposed to me here! Thank you for such a memorable night all at The Peacock!

·

Oh my god. The best cheesecake I have ever tasted. All the food we had here was brilliant. Definitely coming back (often).

·

I had just cycled 100kms and had to stop for food. And a pint. Or two. I had gammon. Not having any idea what gammon even is/was. Anyway it's like a flattened ham steak with pineapple.Best lunch EVER. Ok; maybe that's the hunger talking. But they brought my food and beer to the table so my tired legs didn't have to move. Class.

·

It was only OK difficult time for all pubs . They have to be at their best . Nice staff but weak kitchen.

·

Beautiful characterful pub, relaxed atmosphere. We were made to feel very welcome. Good menu choice, food served hot. Will definitely be returning.

Wanted to give The Peacock another go as saw under new management. So glad we did, met friends there for lunch last Tuesday and it was excellent. The staff were all so friendly and welcoming, the menu was varied and the various meals we had were great, would certainly recommend it.

·

So lovley to find a great pub with friendly helpful staff. The food is LOVELY and they we so happy to adjust a dish for us. We highly recommend and will be going back myself

Sunday meal. It was "ok", but nothing special - and on this Sunday was the only option, even though it says on website for the Sunday roast to book your options in days beforehand. We didn't, and so expected the full menu - and perhaps the Sunday roast if they had any available. No choice - just the 3 meat and 1 veg option Sunday dinner. If it's within walking distance and you fancy a meal and a few pints it'll do - but since its in the middle of the countryside thats about 20 people. If you are getting in a car there's many better places around. Goudhurst Inn is always good.Staff friendly and polite though.Sorry - I know you're under new management, but I'll be dining elsewhere next time I'm in the area.
