Went here for my aunt's 90th birthday. Everything about it was excellent. We had the three course set menu and added a side and drinks/coffee and the prices are very reasonable. The service was attentive throughout and they went out of their way to make my aunt's visit special. Highly recommended.

One of the most delicious and exciting meals I've had in a long time! Not only is the location stunning, it's a gorgeous drive to get there and the pub itself is so cosy and full of heritage - a real treat! The service was second to none, with each of the staff that served us friendly, informative with awesome wine recommendations, and top notch banter :)The food - needless to say was everything we had hoped it would be - the chef is truly a master, combining textures and flavours that really make you giggle with joy as you eat! Highly recommend the slow cooked pork with the INCREDIBLE master stock.....they need to sell it!We will 100% be back for more, a must-go if you're a foodie, love good country eats and good company ππ½

Another fabulous lunch at The Poet. I had the set menu and had a really delicious 2 course lunch and in particular the fish for my main was amazing. The food is always so delicious and beautifully presented that it is a pleasure to make the 40 minute drive to get there. Great job to the team front of house and in the kitchen.

Seriously amazing food! Couldn't fault it at all. I would come back again just for another bowl of that truffle Mac and cheese!

This is the best βpubβ food weβve had in a long time. The menu was unexpected and the food was sublime. The team that looked after us were also amazing. It has the whole package. Keep it up The Poet. We will be back

Incredible meal and all the dishes are well prepared, perfectly seasoned and beautifully presented. The scallop with pineapple and pork cheek was my favourite and the duck was delicious. Commendable services as well.

Celebration of birthday, very fine dining experience, excellent chef, food tastes incredible. Not cheap but quality of food and wines make it worth the money. Tell the team if you have any food issues, I have an intolerance to mushrooms so the chef modified the chicken supreme dish for me (the sauces have a vegetable stock base which includes mushrooms) He made a mustard and honey sauce which was delicious. All the staff are very welcoming and professional, and the restaurant is cosy . We were visiting Tunbridge Wells and if in the area again would definitely return to the Poet.
