The White Horse in Tunbridge Wells

Food was good but quite expensive. Fair range of vegan alternatives. Service was very good and the building is really good. Open air spaces that can be covered at will and converted into cozy evening ambience. Thoroughly enjoyed our experience.

Great service and lovely food only thing to watch is the random ingredients they add to the kids food, cheese in the mash and mayo in the burger which put both mine off, would have been good to check with us first or at least put it on the menu so we could have known before we ordered. Otherwise the roasts were delicious, the staff were helpful and we had a lovely time.

What a hidden gem, we arrived before they had started service, but they didn't mind us sitting on the beautiful swing in the sunshine. The staff were amazing, attentive and friendly and looked after our table throughout our stay. The food was a little slow to come out but when it did it was worth the wait. The lamb scotch eggs were the best scotch eggs I've ever had! Can't wait to come back and would highly recommend.

Visited last week, and thoroughly enjoyed our time here. The service was great - the staff were very friendly, efficient and professional. The food was fantastic - a lovely varied menu (found it difficult to pick one dish!!), and reasonable prices. The cocktails were also great - a very limited menu, missing some favourites, however, the ones we did choose were very good.Had a nice atmosphere and surrounding - cosy feel!Will definitely return in the future, and already looking forward to trying a different dish.

I enjoyed this place. The portions were nice and large.The signature burger, succulent with good quality beef. Onion rings, a bit too much batter for me.The atmospheres and environmental was really nice.Staff went out their way to find us somewhere to sit despite lacking a reservation on a busy Saturday.

Really enjoyed the venue and the atmosphere. Played 80's music throughout this particular Saturday evening, which was perfect for me! Food was okay pretty much the norm these days "On the floor" team were good with one guy standing who ensured you were well looked after and enjoyed your visit.

The service is well above and beyond. Thank you so much. Its our first time at White Bear and the experience is amazing ❤️worth the visit. The food are fantastic 👍, staff are very approachable very attentive to details and kind. We will definitely be back.

Visited for lunch today with my wife and 2 dogs. Conner was great, couldn't do enough for us. Service from everyone was great, they bought a water bowl for the dogs without being asked. the food was great and will definitely be going again. All round great experience and surprisingly busy for a Monday lunchtime so clearly many others think the same.

Dined 3x here in the last year and overall it's just okay. Service could be better and food could be improved. The low rating is mainly due to having to wait for food order to be taken. It always takes ages, some 20 minutes before we get asked what food we want. Will give them another go again as we are only local. I hope there is improvement next time.

This is a smart centrally located pub, extended into “Orangery” . Provides great venue for parties. We were lucky to get a table without booking on a busy Bank Holiday weekend. The food and drink choices were reasonable, good service from our waiter and the floor manager. Nothing negative to note, we had a good experience as a family and the potions were very generous (whale and chips!)
