We were so disappointed by our visit as it seemed such a lovely pub in a great location on our way back from my birthday weekend. However, when we arrived there were no staff visible as we made our way around the pub tables outside and around the side. I popped my head into the pub to ask if they were servicing food. There was a total of 4 staff members all behind the bar chatting amongst each other. I asked a blonde barmaid with heavy make up and glasses if they were serving food and she just said yeah bar food and carried on chatting to her colleagues! We were quite taken aback as I just stood there feeling silly .. I had to ask again if there was a menu or anything and she said to go and find a table and someone would bring one out. An awkward young staff member came out and asked if we would like drinks .. we gave him our order and said we would also like to see the food menu. He said he’d bring them out. Our drinks took quite a while to arrive and he had to go back inside for a menu board which he left with us. After 10/15 minutes nobody had returned to take a food order so we went in to pay and left! Terribly bad service for a countryside pub late lunchtime in a Bank Holiday Monday!

My husband and I have just spent 4 nights in the Pheasant room, as a base while we explored the beautiful Kent countryside, and couldn't fault anything about The Three Chimneys. Our room, the very friendly staff and the delicious food all deserve the 5 stars we have given it.

Visited The Three Chimneys twice on a recent visit to the area. Excellent service and food. Real Ale well kept, and all properly priced. Would recommend.

Paid a visit one lunch time as the car park was busy. Which is always a good sign! And it was. Pleasant staff, decent beer, and a good selection on the bar menu. The food was excellent. Well worth a visit.

Thank you Three Chimneys for a lovely nights stay. Had the Stag room , big , very comfortable and immaculately clean. Dined in the restaurant which was lovely, nice atmosphere with good food. Breakfast was very tasty and set us up for the day. Staff were all lovely . We’ll definitely be back.

We stayed here for one night in December, during a tour of some of the local wineries. The room was very nicely refurbished, inside an old barn building. The bed was super comfy and room and bathroom very spacious. There was also an outside private patio area, which would be lovely in the summer. We had dinner and breakfast in the pub, both finished to an excellent standard and went down a treat. The staff were very helpful and welcoming. The pub itself is steeped in history and seems like a really nice local for the village. Would definitely revisit when in the area again, and would recommend for a stay overnight or more.

Very traditional Kentish pub (even has dried hops adorning beams and doorways). Lovely atmosphere. Only went in for a drink but the food they were serving looked really good. Would like to go back there for a meal. Definitely worth a visit.

Really decent Sunday Roast, puddings and wine list. Good portion of well cooked roast beef and plenty of homemade gravy the standouts, plus good roasties and a varied accompanying bowl of veg (including the now regular cauliflower cheese). The sticky toffee pudding was also delicious and a good size portion. Will be back when I get a chance!

Went with a couple of friends, 1 of which was dairy free...... Very poor selection on existing menu for those with any dietary needs and only suggestions from the kitchen was to simply cut out anything that may have contained dairy...... One of the suggested starters was prawn cocktail..... Suggestion from kitchen was the dish without the cocktail...... So just plain prawns then!! No attempt to supply any alternatives. Very poor, especially considering the price!!

Lovely pub. Sat outside for a leisurely lunch - terrace is a really pretty space to sit in. Food was delicious I just wish I had room for a dessert as the selection sounded lovely. Mackerel starter + mozzarella salad were really beautifully done. Both light and delicious. Sausages for mains were so good. A classic dish done elegantly and the gravy was outstanding. Staff were also very friendly and made us feel welcome. Drove an hour to get here and was totally worth it - will be visiting again!
