We didn't book as it was a last minute decision to eat out, so were relieved to get a table straight away as it was Mother's day. We were told there was a 30-45 minute delay in serving food and were happy waiting. The food was piping hot and everything was delicious. The atmosphere is great and the prices are very reasonable. 10 / 10 😀

Lovely local pub, very friendly and helpful staff. Made extra room for us despite the pub being rather full with a party. Food was excellent and well priced. Would definitely recommend if your looking for a pub atmosphere in Wantage.

Popped into The Bay Tree yesterday just for a couple of drinks but ended having a couple of curries as well & couldn't believe our luck as we were the lucky recipients of 'burn the bill' too! Lovely food , friendly staff & thank you all we had a brilliant time!

Lovely pub and staff was lovely too! Especially Michelle, I come in with my 3 children and she was very accommodating to me and the 3 children, she is an absolute credit to this place. Food was great also. Will definitely be returning again

Impromptu late lunch/early dinner needed due to oven dying! So popped to the Bay Tree around 3pm on a Saturday afternoon. First time I've been to the Bay Tree for years, having just moved back to Grove. Staff were friendly, helpful and a good laugh, and food was tasty. Will be happy to return

I popped into the baytree for a quick lunch break- and was greeted by michelle who was ever so polite and friendly.Nothing was too much trouble for her and went above and beyond to make sure everyone in there was served and happy - it was such a refreshing visit to actually be spoken to and treated as if your custom is truly wanted and not like you’re bothering the staff!Michelle truly is a breath of fresh air in this pub always smiling, willing to chat no matter how busy she is - she’s worth more than 5 stars ⭐️

Stored in for a quick lunch with business colleagues en route to a meeting. Good food quickly served with decent presentation and great value. A friendly English Pub experience.

Pre-booked a table for Saturday lunch in November. The bar was short-staffed, so we went & sat at a table as it wasn't busy. Ordered the food and then waited OVER AN HOUR for our food. Had a hungry 2 year old with us, who was fortunately very patient and well-behaved during our wait. Asked twice how long our food would be. Sad that a lack of communication and staff shortage means we are unlikely to revisit, however, the food was good...
