I get that mask mandates are law at the moment but they dont apply if you are exempt. Which I am. Entered the door and was told to go and buy a mask from the shop across the street. Couldn't get a word in edgeways and to be frank, Im tired of the constant discrimination from places. Was going there for the first time today as I work from home in the local village and fancied a change. Yet was berated by the lady behind the counter. So I turned to leave through the front door, and was told I had to walk through the cafe anyway. You know, where I would be standing while I waited to order. Ridiculous. No logic whatsoever.Any business that discriminates and turns custom away by being discriminatory deserve to go under. maybe instead of asking if you have a mask and immediately telling someone to go buy one just to get some lunch, you should be asking people if they have an exemption or not ask at all.

This place require some serious competitors. The confidence of being the only lunch alternative in this neighbourhood makes the staff very unfriendly. I asked them if they can warm up the food I bought. They talked about it away from my ears about a minute - while constantly peeking at me -. Then the lady returned and told me that I can warm it up if I want. I thought that there is a microwave somewhere and asked 'where' and then she said 'at your home' . Really?? Thank you for letting me use my own microwave. Did you discuss this for 45 seconds? I almost felt like if it were someone else, they would warm it up immediately with a smile on their faces. On the other hand, the food was so bad, I don't think it would make any difference anyway.

Unfortunately I will give this place 2 stars since they refused cash. I forgot to grab my bank card, but I had plenty of cash with me. Got excited looking at the menu and waited 4- 5 minutes in the queue and then I was told they don't accept cash. There is no signs at the entrance or inside to make you aware of that.

This place is gold for a really good panini, chai tea latte or coffee.I find the prices a bit high so the d to save this for a special occasion but the staff are super friendly, they do collection and pick up service, the covid-safe measures are great.Try the chicken or vegan noodles boxes, so so good!

Absolutely amazing breakfast rolls and great prices ! Also had the salads for my lunch and was great

Having worked in the park for 5 years, I've always been quite pleased with the quality, cost and variety available at the cafe. However, I can't say I'm a fan of the recent changes - in particular, the new system for paninis - while before I quite liked them and they were my usual order, the new system of mass-cooking and leaving them on the warm grill now makes the bread tough and chewy. I appreciate from a practical standpoint this may be necessary but unless you get there when they're "fresh out of the oven" you're picking up a tough, and not-so-fresh tasting lunch. Not a fan of the new system for ordering and paying either.

Staff are always friendly, food is also very good. However, the price of a breakfast baguette has increased from £2.60 to £3.60. I can understand a slight increase but £1? Seems like a rip off. I've seen a reply to someone elses review saying you get 50% extra bacon, so does that mean you get three rashers instead of 2? Previously you could get 2 sausages and 2 rashers of bacon for £2.60, so is an extra rasher really worth £1? What about the extra sausage? I think I'll save my £1 and go elsewhere because of what I see as an unacceptable price increase. I'm not alone in feeling this way too. Such a shame.

Oh what a shame - regular visitor, just discovered the price for my normal baguette has gone up by £1. I only took enough with me for that so no choice but to go elsewhere. I understand that they are good, but giving me more filling and charging me more is not the answer, I was happy with what i was having. An increase - i could understand but not that much of a hike.

English breakfast is very poor, cheap ingredients that taste of nothing. Hand made sandwiches are reasonably good though although the salad to go in them is very limited. Some staff are grumpy and not very helpful.

This was a difficult review to write. The cafe efficiently caters to a lot of Milton Park staff in a friendly, clean environment. The food isn't bad in fact the ingredients are great but in some cases the end product fails to impress. Some of the salads look great but then don't have the promised pop of flavour. Sandwiches will taste of malted bread first, then brie and then somehow you only notice that it has bacon by texture alone (weird). Experiences here go from 3 to 5 stars depending on what you buy.
