Churchill's Fish & Chips in Vale of White Horse

Very expensive for fish and chips, rather spend my money at local smarts! Used to be a cheap and cheerful dinner not expensive!

Very clean shop, nice staff, fresh food. It’s a bit more expensive than other places around but you can appreciate the good quality of what they serve, the food wasn’t oily and didn’t have that old oil/used too many times oil taste.When I was there they offered what they had under the hot lamps or to wait 7 minutes to have a new batch, which is what I did.They had other items on the menu but I’ve only ordered fish and chips from them so can’t comment on that, also I collected so no comment on delivery service.

Useless...Went in just after 9pm to be told there was only two regular chips and the selection of dry, overcooked items in the display case...I wanted large chips...But there are only two regular, why not have those for about £2 more?Oh and did I mention they're ice-cold?I literally pressed the freshly salt and vinegar-ed package onto my face outside the shop and there was NO heat...Don't waste your time, all style, no substance...

My mum ordered 2x burgers and onion rings and chips and chicken nuggets. All the food was over cooked!! And very dry!! 1 burger was went to have onions in and didn't. Also the food arrived cold.. phoned them up and they said they will refund her. Its been since Saturday and still nothing.... I would definitely recommend this place at all!!!

If i could give no stars i would. Just paid £30 for fish chips twice and no mushy peas. The food was stone cold, overcooked and totally inedible. Absolutely disgusting food, so dissatisfied i threw it all in bin. In a year they have got worse. I will never order from them again. Disgusted.

Your first impression is of Cleanliness. The wait for freshly cooked fish was only ten minutes. The presentation of boxed of boxed portions aided the transfer to home still piping hot. They do chicken and burgers too for those awkward kids that won't go with the flow

I have never been a fan of fish & chips it my husband has been raving about this place so thought I would give it a go. It was absolutely delicious, fresh, not soggy at all, batter tasty & crunchy.. and the curry sauce … YUM ! Will definitely recommend !

Staff were very friendly. Food was not great. Burger severely over-done. And looked underwhelmingly less than six ounces. Ordered a battered sausage and got a luke-warm non-battered sausage. Wife says chicken burger was fine. Prices were high considering the distinct lack of food received.

The best gluten free fish and chips I have ever had! The batter was light, crispy, not oily and all round delicious!We ordered from thier website which worked nicely. Food arrived quickly, still warm and most importantly still crisp. Great food. We will definitely be ordering from them again.
