Yummy burger after a lovely walk in the sunshine on the Ridgeway. Just hit the spot. Thank you for the friendly and personal service especially from the chef checking on the ingredients. ie. No onions 🤣. Delicious 😄

The George is a great stop after a local walk or bike ride. The staff are always welcoming. There is a good selection of drinks and the food is pub home cooking. No pretensions to be a country gastro pub, just good honest grub.

Lovely meal as always. Great to see the pub and garden filling up. Really enjoyed our sunday lunch with the kids.

Had Christmas day lunch there very nice food,beyond my expectations as we had not been there before. Service was great friendly staff. Will definitely go there again. Recommended

Very good. Couldn't fault it .service first rate. The cost well worth it.

Booked in for Sunday lunch. You need to book as its busy and popular. It was busy when we went and I van see why as tje Sunday roast was hot and full of flavour. I know the popularity mean the staff are busy, however felt the service could be better. Seen very quickly and seated which was good, drinks and order for lunch taken quickly. However the table was not dressed like others in the pub, and there was a wait of about an hour for dessert order to be taken, and only when we called them over. Apple and horseradish sauce not offered but was to other tables. Constant service would have made this review achieve a much higher rating. Maybe it was a bad day and due to the pub being busy staff were stretched. However probably won't be returning. Disappointing unfortunately.

Great village pub with a lovely log burning stove. Very good food and premium beers Ample car park plus nice sized garden that has kids climbing frames, swings etc
