House of Spice in Vale of White Horse

Difficult to score. All the food tasted good. Unfortunately, in one of the dishes the lamb was a bit dried out and chewy. Yet on another dish the chicken was lovely and moist. The onion bhajis weren't greasy in the slightest but were not cooked properly in the middle. The same with the naans, great on the outside, doughy in the middle. Overall, I would try again as they showed potential. This review was for a takeaway on a Sunday around 6pm. The restaurant had a couple.of occupied tables.

Very disappointed with our meal tonight, the quality was no where near their usual standard. I ordered a lamb pasanda and it had a random half a boiled egg in and the lamb was very hard and tough so couldn't eat it. Also the korma wr ordered was very oily and watery, very strange as normally lovely.Won't be ordering on a hurry again.

The best in Wantage never had a bad meal. Would not go any where else.

There are no words to describe how awful the food is at this place...so I’ll leave it there!!

I wouldn’t recommend nor eat here again. It’s very bland. Very basic. Watery daal. Dough for naan. And to top it off they were rude on the phone taking my order!

I'm new to the area but this has quickly become my regular, despite an Indian restaurant / takeaway closer to home. Great food, and some different dishes to usual fayre. Very nice and attentive staff who care about the quality of the food they serve. Looking forward to many future orders.

Real authentic Indian food.... The real delicacy of INDIA....... VERY HYGIENIC and no comparison on TASTE.... went once for a drop in quick late lunch and ended up with several regular visits every week... And a must for occasional large family get together specially during CHRISTMAS.. WILL RATE 10 ON 10 AND I WILL RECOMMEND HIGHLY

Been here visiting the Diamond. Had to stay in Wantage and got here super late. Owner and waiter were very nice and kind other than helpful. Wide choice on the menu, so it was hard to pick something but everything tasted really good. Got back with colleagues and I haven't got beaten so they also liked it.Approved and suggested.

Been here for take away several times and it's absolutely brilliant every time. Food is freshly done and full of flavour. They are also super flexible with whatever dish you want, a starter as a main, a dish that's not on the menu, any meat dish to vegetarian... they have it covered. Staff are super friendly and got a lovely atmosphere!! Highly recommended

Just had our food was so tasty best Indian around. Went in to order our food great service gave us popadoms while we were waiting, Staff are so friendly. Would highly recommend this restaurant/takeaway...... :)
