It was our first time there and I must admit it's a cosy cafeteria. It seems to be a family business. The atmosphere is nice there and prices are affordable. Coffee could be stronger but bagles were delicious.

Me and my partner go to this cafe on a weekly basis and LOVE the victoria sponge cake they do. It’s a great local place for some cake and a coffee. They also do a great bacon roll, cheese and ham toastie and lots of other lunch options!

Lovely little independent cafe! They were incredibly busy but even so kept up with all the orders and our food came out really quickly. Their menu is very varied but everything we ordered was delicious! The cake options are numerous as well and I can't wait to try the takeaway slices I bought!

Delicious coffee. Dairy free options. The food my friends had looked good and they enjoyed it. The staff worked really hard and cheerfully to serve a big influx of customers following the parkrun nearby.

Still my number one Cafe in Abingdon. The mix is perfect: Delicious coffee and cakes, a nice variety of high quality teas, three different milks (although I'm sad the alternative milks are still sweetened!! grrrrr!), friendly staff and swift service. The pastries are a m a z i n g!! Love that place.

Good English breakfast, solid granola and yogurt bowl. Coffee is good can’t complain.Good outdoor area. Some of the sweets and cakes look better than they taste but let’s be honest you go here to inject your veins with caffeine not sugar. Can’t go wrong here.

I was excited and on a beeline for Starbucks when this quaint cafe caught my eye. I stood outside whilst trying to make a decision but since I'm on holiday I decided to give this independent cafe a try and it turns out I made the right choice.Despite being so small Java has a lot of drinks to offer and all at a reasonable price, plus it's dog friendly and whilst I don't have a dog myself it's nice to see other people's dogs dogs. The food and drinks are very homely and the decor and atmosphere is very warm. They also have a huge selection of pastries, cakes and sweet treats. There's something for everyone at Java's and I'll definitely be visiting again.

Lovely little coffee shop with a great selection of cakes, pastries and food. Also a lot to choose from in the drinks selection as well, the choices all round put Costa and other chains to absolute shame.Wifi available, relaxing music, decent indoor and outdoor seating and toilet facilities means you have everything you need here for a relaxing coffee and cake session!I had the Orange and blueberry cake, it was absolutely gorgeous; really light sponge and packed with flavour. Loved it!Based on my experience I think you would be crazy not to give this place a try!

Went for coffee with a friend and Java had a brilliant selection of traditional Bulgarian pastries alongside their cake offerings that make this a nice change from something I'd usually order. I tried the olive and feta pastry parcel (pictured bottom left) which was heated and tasted great. Staff were friendly and kindly brought our food out to us.
