Pablo Lounge in Vale of White Horse

Quite a busy packed venue when I went for the first time to play in the Open Mic in Aid of The Terrence Higgins Trust, I was surprised to see only 2 staff serving at the Bar for such a busy evening.The queue looked deceptively short?I had mistakenly thought it wouldn't take long to be served as there were only 2 customers in front of me, I was wrong it took ages because the 2 Staff were serving up Cocktails and other drinks for the masses who were using Table service.TBF I wasn't at a Table as just performing, Staff were friendly though.The Toilets were upstairs along a corridor a bit like "Weatherspoons style" In a typically old fashioned spacious Abingdon Building, They were Tidy clean with everything you would expect in a properly kitted out loo.I didn't see if there were any Disabled Toilets downstairs? I would hope there is.The Air conditioning downstairs was very needed and welcomed on this hot evening,One thing I would have liked which a few other venues do offer would have been a free drink for performing?Otherwise it looks and feels like a good place for friends to go for a night out if feeling financially flush to push the boat out, I saw the menu which has quite a good range of food and drink which I wouldn't mind trying out one day.

Came back to this review to sadly knock a star off my original 4 star rating. I've been to this place more times than I can count and recently I've noticed a real drop in their service.Recently every time I've visited, I've had to give constant reminders of dishes/drinks that have been missed; missing cutlery, incorrect orders (ice in drink when asked for none,) not checking that things are ok, dirty plates not cleared for ages, even when the next course is brought out.Went for some cocktails here one evening and we were the only people bar two other guests, and the drinks took over 20 minutes to come out... what were the staff doing!? We had to go up the bar to chase them.I'd hoped this was just a one off as have really enjoyed Pablo Lounge in the past but this is becoming a trend and I'm over it by now.

It is always lovely here. The lady who runs the place is so friendly, approachable and happy to accommodate your needs. One thing that is brilliant is that they ask everyone whether they have any allergies as soon as they get to you, which is very important in my family. The service from everyone is wonderful. The food, for me, is to die for. They have a whole vegan menu and some amazing dishes that are always beautifully prepared and I've never seen the place empty at all.

My husband and I dined here a couple of times, and overall, our experiences were positive. However, despite being listed as open to 11pm, when arriving around 9:30pm the last time, we were greeted with “the kitchen is closing soon” which made us feel rushed and unwelcome even though we ordered our food right away. A half hour before closing time, the music was turned off and staff started cleaning up. Food portions are okay and value for money spent is okay. The food is tasty and there are lots of options for vegans and vegetarians, so that’s definitely wonderful!

Good venue for a bite to eat with enthusiastic staff, a great range of different styles of food and all at very reasonable prices. We both took advantage of the Tapas Tuesday and were well fed for just over £25 including a drink each. Well located overlooking the main square. Give it a go.

In my opinion they serve up the best cheeseburger and fries in Abingdon. And not too pricey. Nice atmosphere and friendly staff with plenty of options for both meat eaters and vegetarians.

Going to make a 4 star for now as only having coffee stop, but have to say I'm very well impressed.Nice friendly staff and perfect cup of coffee. Decor is so homely and lovely. Menu looks great and u will be back to taste what's in offer next time, because rest assure I will be back 👍

Incredibly rude waitress/ waitressesI have had several experiences with the staff, some of them have no idea what customer service means.My mother ordered a type of coffee and they got the order wrong and when my mum asked for what she ordered they tried to argue with her that she was wrong. Today i went in and forgot that you need to order at the bar since i rarely go in and a young girl working there was extremely rude and sarcastic to me and the person i was sat with. The atmosphere is so artistic and homely and i love bringing my dog in there but this just ruins it to be honest. Ofcourse there are some nice staff but these kinds of situations have happened several times i don't know if anyone bothers to learn what it means to be polite

Nice location in the historic town of Abingdon in Oxfordshire and a very well organised restaurant located right in the centre of Town.The staffs, both the male server and the female cashier were polite and very efficient in their work. The menu was full of variety and the choice was enormous.The food quality was good and at the right temperature snd so were the drinks. Excellent place to visit again!

Super friendly staff and very assertive when it comes to allergies. Great breakfast options especially for vegans. A delicious vegan breakfast and lots of vegan milk alternatives. Can definitely recommend going for breakfast.
