Great service, excellent roast dinner, dog friendly. Only downside, for us was That the portions could do with being a little larger.

Tucked away in a village off the A420 between Oxford and Swindon, the Eagle caters for no more than 20 people at a time. The food is of a high standard, with the only caveat that it has yet to master roast potatoes.

Stopped in on a Tuesday night and had a fabulous dinner with the family. Lovely setting, delicious and creative food. Top service. Highly recommended.

Hidden gem! Excellent food and service, popped in for a venison burger to catch up with a friend, will be back with the Mrs to do a proper 3 course meal, some great options and an excellent menu

We discovered this pub by chance, looking for somewhere to eat with a friend after a walk at nearby Badbury Clump. The food was delicious and cooked to perfection and good value for high quality. The service was attentive and it all felt very safe with tables well spread out in the garden.

The food at the Eagle Tavern is some of the best pub food I have ever eaten. I came here for a evening meal with some family and we were not disappointed.The menu is pretty small which is usually a good sign and as a result between my group we ordered pretty much everything on it. Every single dish was brilliant, high quality ingredients cooked beautifully. I can highly recommend the Venison, very rarely do you get game cooked as nicely as it is here.The service was also excellent. The gentleman who was running the place was extremely helpful, attentive and friendly.I will definitely be back.
