Pretty quiet when we arrived at 1230 on a Saturday, they had only one chef available so a slightly restricted menu which didn't really affect our group. Three of the four of us received good meals but the fourth had a jacket potato which wasn't fully cooked and seems to have been hastily prepared which is sort of understandable. As in many of these circumstances it's not convenient to send it back as by the time they have sorted it the rest of us have finished eating. Will probably return at some point.

Such a lovely pub, food is absolutely delicious and plenty of it, staff are a delight and very friendly and helpful. The toilets, well what can I say, if you need to go then this is the place, very clean, hand lotion, cotton buds, brush, wipes, sanitary products and loads more as well as nappies and everything you need to change a babies nappy. Fantastic, well thought out. Thankyou.

Very much enjoyed our first visit for a family lunch today. Lovely refurbishment with good facilities and plenty of parking to the rear of the pub. Welcoming staff, great menu, clean plates all round, and we shall return - thank you 😊

For some time this has been my favourite eating and meeting place. Till last night. Quiz night may have been switched from Wednesday or maybe it's on two nights a week. The background noise was extreme.I ordered cajun chicken and decided to have it with chips. The chicken was tough and everything was swimming in gravy! Soggy chips and no flavour left in the chicken. It took so long to arrive I just picked at it rather than making a fuss. Very disappointing.

Another fantastic meal today. The food is clearly cooked from scratch and has a wonderful traditional home-made feel about it. Portions are generous, and the components are well thought out, so not your usual pub grub. If you're vegan or vegetarian you are also well looked after, many meals have a meat free option, rather than just being offered a mushroom burger, which seems to be the go to for lots of pubs these days. This is the best pub meal around, prices are very reasonable and the staff are friendly and cheerful. The beautiful countryside setting is also a bonus, and there are plenty of parking spaces. There's also a pub garden, but I haven't used it yet as not quite warm enough. Well worth a try, you'll love it!

Great pub with a friendly host. Plenty of gluten free options on the menu to accompany the wide selection of beers and spirits. Only downside was being given the wrong bill and then being overcharged too, but this was corrected when queried.

Really friendly pub. Good is extremely good and excellent value for money. Roast beef was cooked perfectly. The side of vegetables were huge!!
