The Fish Restaurant & Bar in Vale of White Horse

A very good Sunday lunch with family. However a very poor selection on real ales nothing local on tap. Also felt quick squeezed in amongst the tables.

I’ve been at the fish almost every day for 4 months now and the food has always been excellent. The staff are never anything but friendly and the chefs are lovely. A small team who work wonderfully together and make their guests feel at home. I would strongly recommend everyone visits!

Excellent choices on menu. The set menus are also superb and value for money. Food is excellent, couldn't fault it and would recommend...

First time dine in the restaurant and staff were friendly and helpful as well as the food are good standard. Very pleasant visit!

Another superb meal. We had lunch on Christmas Day. It was well organised, delicious food and festive atmosphere with crackers, balloons, party hats and poppers. Perfect!

If I could do zero stars I would, was treated different to other customers , we didn’t get our bread and olives until 10/15 minutes of being there ,where as other customers had there’s straight away before they ordered drinks, we had our starters and didn’t get asked if everything was okay with the food , exactly the same as problem with the mains, the fish that we ordered was slimy and did not taste like it should! Not a good experience at all! Was very disappointed! Didn’t even want to pay the £55!

Lovely food and very friendly staff. As soon we come back from Holland we visit again.

The staff were lovely, friendly and very helpful. We dined outside under the pergola which gave us a little shelter from the sun. They pampered us to our needs and the food was excellent, we all had the Sea Bass stuffed with crab and soft cheese, shrimps, pink pepper corns on a bed of vegetables and a separate bowl filled with lemon flavoured rice. We all chose different desserts, but I had the Creme Brulle and it was divine very creamy, smooth and the flavour of vanilla coming through with each mouthful. I could have eaten it at least twice over.

Just had a snack & coffee... But the duck baguette was perfect - crispy, perfectly baked baguette with tasty shredded duck. Mmm... Nice atmosphere, helpful staff, good parking (although with pebbles - not sure if wheelchair-friendly?). My latte was - well, it's on the photo, you decide. :) The only objection - it was a bit cold today, just after opening. But still 5* from me.
