The Hart of Harwell in Vale of White Horse

This used to be a great local pub but all the life has gone out of it since Covid. The staff are pleasant but there doesn't seem to be enough people to cope. The pub is not used as much as before but my general feeling is that they are planning to shut down. I hope business picks up and the pub becomes popular again.

Have never been to this pub in all the years I have lived locally. It was very nice and the food was good as was the service. Will definitely visit again.

Brilliant service - I have some very specific dietary needs and so emailed in. Marcel the head chef answered my queries promptly. At the venue the staff were friendly and proficient.

An excellent meal!Six dining, all having different main meal choices.Delicious, nutritious, well presented & good sized portions.A good ale, well kept was available, and enjoyed, also an interesting selection of wines!Will be returning in the future!

Booked for Christmas Day lunch on 22nd December, last minute decision, replacing our initial plan to be in London. On Christmas Day we arrived 15 minutes early and joined the kew at the bar for few drinks. Clearly they could have used more help but being short staff , in general, and on Christmas Day, specifically, is not unusual nowadays.The pub looked very festive, our corner table beautifully arranged and the food was good and ample. We enjoyed it and appreciated the hard work . Thank you!

Our daughter recommended we eat here tonight as she said it was a lovely pub and the food is good, she wasn't wrong. We had wonderful hot, tasty food, just the right amount. The service was excellent, professional staff, very efficient. Nice atmosphere. Will go again in the future. 😊 (not brilliant photos of food)!

It was a nice meal we felt looked after! Food was lovely and great selection of drinks! I recommend 80 Shillings beer 😃 The veggie burger was delicious! All the meat meals on our table looked fantastic as well.

Amazing food, not overly expensive but higher than standard pub food. You can tell the chefs take pride in the food and presentation. Staff were friendly and knew the menu items very well. Restaurant is a cozy inviting place! I would highly recommend this restaurant!
