The Horse & Jockey in Vale of White Horse

The kitchen had a problem at the last minute so they weren't cooking had to book somewhere else

Really liked the Horse & Jockey, the staff were accommodating and friendly and the food delicious.

First visit, had Sunday lunch an amazing meal and good value. All staff were polite and friendly. We will definitely be returning

On Sunday (Jan 30th) at lunchtime we booked in for a family meal, this is our first visit since the new owners took over. The food was excellent well cooked and tasty, but on Sundays it's roasts only the mid week menu is not used. The serving staff were helpful and courteous but above all the meals were served piping hot and all at the same time. Next visit will be to check out the Thursday night steak night, really looking forward to that.

Visited with family, a selective menu with something for everyone, polite friendly staff, food arrived looking fresh, appetising and tasted good, reasonably priced fir both food and drink, car park to rear. Overall a pleasant experience and will visit again when in the area.

Lovely village pub, had a great meal here with family. Efficient, freindly staff, great food and a nice pint. All reasonably priced as well, will be back.

We came over to the pub last night for a little celebration meal, one was to celebrate in Katy starting new job on Tuesday and the other was that Jessica did well with her 1st full week at school. We all really enjoyed our meal, especially Jessica as she enjoyed her sausage pizza that she had specially made for her 😊
