The Rose and Crown in Vale of White Horse

We have just been to the pub for steak night. OMG It was amazing. Such good value and food was excellent. Shay makes you very welcome. We come over from Windsor to see my sister and brother in law and visited the pub with them a few times now. Can't praise them enough.

Lovely freshly cooked meal, and very friendly and efficient landlord too. Would highly recommend, ashamed I don't live closer!!

Great village pub. Shay the owner was a great host very clean, fire lit and lovely to able to hear each other talk. Something of a novelty these days

Small town pub with great ciders!

Lovely pub with good fresh wholesome food. Landlord and staff exceptionally friendly and welcoming. We were a large party of 19 including children and had a lovely meal. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the Rose and Crown.

Five of us had the Sunday carvery today. Wow, fantastic food (plenty of) great value. Excellent service and a lovely typical old style pub. Thanks Guys we will be back for more!

The pub doesn't have any vegetarian options on the menu at all! We went in to ask and were told that they don't have anything we could eat, so we left hungry. I was just really surprised, I can't remember the last time we weren't able to find a veggie option in a pub in the UK and most even offer vegan options now. Shame because it is a pretty building and nice looking pub.

This is the quintessential country pub, excellent food, excellent staff and very fast service. We came for a Sunday carvery and the choice of meats and array of vegetables was brilliant.The staff couldn't of been more helpful in accommodating my 8 month old nephew with a high chair and some special attentionIf you're in the South of England and want to experience a nice country pub, then this is the one to choose.Several ales and lagers on tap.

Turned up on Sunday (2 adults & 3yr old) for Sunday roast, although they were very busy it was not problem to them to squeeze us in. The food was lovely and great size portions. DESERTS!!! home made and yes, very very nice. All in all great village pub, great food and atmosphere- topped off with a friendly service by the staff. Thank you

It is a really nice little pub. The guy running it was accomodating and happy to open the kitchen (a little) early for us and the food was good. The place is obviously not set up for families and we felt a little uncomfortable having our toddler there (a feeling the proprietor obviously felt too). We definitely felt that this was a local pub, for the locals, but mainly due to circumstance than design and everything possible (with very little notice) was done to make sure we got what we needed.
