My first time here and I was well impressed. Nice comfortable atmosphere with friendly and competent staff. The menu selection was outstanding with so much to choose from and the service was quick for such a busy day. I would definitely recommend dining at this establishment and I'm looking forward to going again sometime soon.

My first visit for a meal with my family and friends. Absolutely fantastic food. Staff very helpful and pleasant. Comfortable surroundings. Didn't realise it was dog friendly otherwise I would of taken my dog. All in all really nice and I will return. 👍

Love this place. Have been here a few times. Such nice staff and great food. Had the exotic sharer for 2 and was delicious. We had zebra, buffalo, kangaroo and crocodile. Very tasty and something totally different to the norm. We sat outside in the new built up area and as it was cold the staff got us hot water bottles and blankets. Made it real cozy and nice. Always a great atmosphere here. Highly recommended

My heart always sinks when I see such an extensive menu, how can it all be fresh and nicely cooked? Sorry, but I didn't enjoy it, all I can say it was ok. Being able to choose a small version was a great idea though.

Spread Eagle never fails to impress, the staff are so friendly and knowledgeable! The drinks are very reasonable prices for an independent pub and always lots of new options on tap!The booths outside are lovely and feel very private, even a button for table service which is a lovely touch.I'll be continuing to come here again and again!

A nice family owned pub that is dog friendly (except in the restaurant - but bar area is allowed). Also has nice outdoor huts for dining and well set up for Covid requirements. The food was a bit of a let down - ribs were not properly slow cooked so still had some connective tissue, and the burger meat wasn't great quality with chewy bits in it. The icecream sundae was nice. The menu is just a bit too big - would prefer to see less options, and more effort into getting each option right.Cost was quite reasonable.

With it's iconic eagle wing-spread mural, under which many a photo has been taken, the Spread Eagle Inn has more than just some well painted wall art to generate interest. On the Cask Marque Ale Trail, the beer is in excellent condition and there are invariably four or five to choose from.New-build outdoor marquees and booths, all Covid compliant, enhance the outdoor protected seating.Food, especially the 'Sunday Roast' is ever popular and booking a table is advised.Over-all, a pleasant and enjoyable venue and despite the pandemic strictures (all of which are observed as unobtrusively as possible) is still a venue worth a repeat visit.
