Lovely welcoming staff, great food and drink.

I visited the Woodman Inn on Sunday 3 April 2022 for Sunday lunch. I was with one other person. This was my first visit. I used Google Maps to decide where to eat and to navigate to the pub, which was easy. The pub has a well deserved high Google rating.I parked in the pub car park - parking was easy. The pub comprises of a number of smaller dining areas with plenty of tables with full table service. The team were very friendly and welcoming and I had no issues - we got everything we expected in good time and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. We were accommodated at very short notice without any trouble.I enjoyed a cashew and cranberry nut roast for my main course and a warm chocolate and salted caramel fudge cake for dessert. The food arrived hot, was well presented and tasted really good. There was a good selection of food and I found something that appealed to me easily. The food was good value for money, I paid around £29 for two courses and drinks.Overall I really enjoyed my visit and would definitely recommend a visit.

Our second visit and worth the 70 mile drive to a) meet up with good friends and b) to sample great service and fantastic food. Would recommend without hesitation.

·

Lovely relaxed family atmosphere and a nice big open fire. Also dog friendly. Both occasions I’ve been I’ve had the steak, and I struggle to remember when I’ve had nicer !

·

Good standard pub grub. Pleasant interior. Small car park which quickly gets crowded when the pub is busy. A bit off the beaten track but worth a visit.

Second visit to this fine village establishment. A very welcoming and cosy pub/ restaurant with cheerful staff, great food and well kept ale. Pie night did not disappoint and the dessert board tempted us to sample a third course. The warm brownie was superb.

·

Two visits and very tasty meals both times. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. I believe we will be spending some long hours there through the cold months

·

Lovely food. A beautiful old fashioned pub, no loud music or blasting tv's. Set in an idyllic village. Absolutely recommend.

·

Just perfect! All dishes were delicious!! Definitely will go again!

What a gem! Have had a few meals here and have never been disappointed. Food is superb and service is friendly. You'll be disappointed if you don't book a table...
