Wells Stores in Vale of White Horse

Nice old pub with low timber beams. Has its own car park and a nice beer garden out back. We had the fish and chips which was good quality. It’s a tad expensive here but otherwise fine.

We visited this well hidden pub in June. Situated in a beautiful hamlet. Friendly staff. The rooms were separate from the pub and a very generous size. After camping for several days the bath felt amazing, very deep and had lovely shampoo etc. if you like archeology or mysticism this is a great spot as it’s only a mile away from uffington white horse and situated on a ley line.

Very pretty, quaint property, quite rural. Room spacious, bathroom upstairs. Plenty of parking. A few catering issues, only able to offer pizza in the evening - had to go to another pub 2 miles away for an evening meal - breakfast is 08:00 - 10:00, that wasn't early enough for our needs.

Genuinely one of the nicest pizzas I've had in a long time: light and fluffy base, nothing burnt and generous toppings which all worked well (six different types of pizzas ordered).Friendly, accommodating staff, great selection of drinks and a wonderful sun trap of a beer garden. Cannot recommend this place enough.

A real hidden gem. Very friendly and welcoming, plus their food is excellent! Thank you Emma, it was really nice meeting you on Sunday, you and your husband run a wonderful quaint pub. The rooms are also lovely, highly recommended place to stay.

We were made so welcome during our stay at the White Horse, and were charmed by its accommodation, facilities and setting. Breakfast was sumptuous, with a wonderful choice, and the freshly baked pizzas we ate in the evening were delicious. Thank you to everyone for all your help in making our stay memorable.

Great food and lovely pub that is dog friendly. Set in a beautiful village next to the historic hill of Uffington. Nice outdoor area perfect for sun or rain. Would go again.

A hidden gem of a pub.If you are looking to experience the comfy feel of a village pub, this is it. Great rooms, good beer, tasty food and a picture postcard setting - lovely!

Had a lovely lunch here after a special family event. The staff where welcoming and friendly, and the food was well presented and tasty.We forgot to pre book which in retrospect wasnt fair on the staff, however they managed to accommodate 11 adults and 3 children at short notice, something I highly appreciated.Would definitely recommend.

Stayed here for about a week while in the area. The facilities were excellent and the staff was friendly and helpful. The pub had great food and friendly faces.
