Sorry but this is quite simply not good at all I very rarely say something can't be eaten but on this occasion that is the case.we ordered the Thai Royal Feast thinking a nice selection of things and some variety would be nice the price was a little high but we thought it would be nice. The starters were OK but nothing special and one of them was just frozen veg in a pastry parcel.Hoping for better from the mains but this is where it just got inedible absolutely no seasoning on hardly any of it no strong flavours like you expect from Thai food the rice doesnt even have salt in it. the meat is not good quality and I honestly can make a far better pad Thai. This felt like a cheap Chinese ready meal from the shops only with less flavour and at £45 for the two of us I'm actually shocked at how bad this food is.This 100% is not Thai food, this is bad Chinese food disguised with Thai names.Save your money and eat somewhere else simply not worth it at all.

Unfortunately the owner preferred to chase me away rather than work with any dietary concerns. She even made a point of telling me "good bye" rather than any discussion over the matter. Very rude. Won't be back. And I love thai food.

READ ALL OF THIS - Chef is not ThaiStaff and RestaurantStarting off on a positive note the service was good and the staff were friendly. The shop seems much neater and has brightened up since it was taken over. The foodWhen asked I was told the Chef is Thai however that is not the case. Having eaten Thai food all my life and trying food at various Authentic Thai restaurants throughout the UK and Thailand I can safely say that the curry was too sweet and I like sweet food but this is too much, tom yum is nowhere near what tom yum actually taste likes, this is hard to explain without you tasting this yourself but in short it has little to none lemon grass from the taste. The ChefThe chef is not Thai but actually Chinese. How can I justify saying the chef is not Thai but actually chinese? Well I asked to speak with the Chef and the staff went to the chef speaking in chinese with him and once they spoke to me all they could say was Sawasdee Krub, when I tried to ask more questions that Thai people will generally ask to each other in Thai The Chef made reluctant noises and left which this intern justifies my statement of the Chef not being Thai.Service ChargeThis may just be my opinion but a service charge of 10% that is included on the initial bill should be left out unless the customer tips or requests to add the service charge. I understand that customers can request to not pay it but when I did this they looked confused but then later removed it. Further to this my reasoning for not paying this was not entirely due to service but due to food quality and being lied to about the chef being Thai which is partially due to the service. Finally I understand that it's not simple or cheap to employ a Thai chef. Before when they had a Thai owner most of the food was great and most importantly the chef was Thai and the food was authentic and brilliant. What they are doing is destroying the reputation of Thai food which is not good for Thai culture this is not the only place that is doing this but it has to be noted that this is happeningHopefully the owners will realise what they are doing and change the name of the shop removing the word Thai or even state very clearly that it is not authentic.

Not the Yummy’s of old. The food quality is well below the asking price. The Chinese influence is clear to see across the menu. If you’re after authentic Thai food I’d give it a miss. We won’t be revisiting. Service and ambiance were good.

The place is lovely and well decorated. Their staff are friendly and attentive. We love our starters and main dishes. They are delicious but special dishes taste minder toward Chinese or Japanese style.

·

A great Thai restaurant in a old local building with character. Friendly staff. Cosy location. Great food. We will definitely be regulars, especially since Abingdon has lost all good Thai dine in options and the restaurant landscape in general is mediocre at best. Definitely worth the short trip to Wantage.

Atmosphere and service/staff excellent. As I keep finding in other establishments, the food isn't of the same quality as it was before they closed down due to the Covid lockdown. Also, the menu seems to be leaning more towards Chinese rather than Thai.

Excellent food & service. The Thai green veggie curry with tofu and coconut rice was fantastic. Great birthday treat for the missus. Highly recommended.
