Andy's Fish Barwey in Waverley

I had large cod, chips and onion rings. The chips were excellent. Not sure why my cod and chips were wrapped up together?.. The large cod..it's OK.. The onion rings were awful - £2 straight away in the bin.. Apart of that, the place looks fine and the service is excelent. Would I choose Andy's fish bar again?.. Won't be my first choice and never onion rings again..

Recently moved into the area. This was our first lockdown Friday fish and chips. We used to have a great one where we lived in London and used regularly so standards here needed to be high... I can say our cod and chips plus a battered sausage were amazing!!! Can't believe we waited this long to visit. The team were very friendly. I placed the order in the shop on Friday evening. Everything was cooked fresh and i was happy to wait outside for no more than 10 minutes. Worth the wait. Team said i could call ahead with the order next time if i didn't want to wait. Will be there again on Friday. All very COVID secure. Thanks.

Just had cod and chips from here - first time in ages.Massive cod! - 12 inches long at least - freshly cooked and lovely, chips ok too but go for a small/medium portion (unless you want reheated chip butties for a week!)

Excellently cooked fish in a very nice batter.Chicken and chips was liked by my partner. Definitely go there again when passing that way.

Avoid. Even if they are giving it away free, avoid. I swear the "cod" was Tesco's value frozen battered cod but not as tasty as when you do it on the oven at home .... NO if you love lard, this is for you !! Deep fried oven fish - this you'll only ever do once. If you want fish & chips go to Milford.

I went 20 mins before they closed but I didn’t love it. The chips were as dry as ghandi’s flip flop and the battered sausage was ok. Nothing to rave about but I’d probably go back if I were desperate for a fish and chips. Funnily enough I’m not.

Good chips but everything else was not so good. 5 soggy scampi (not what I had hoped for). A chilled raw Saveloy - as cold as if it had just come out of the fridge. They had them in a bath of water over the top of the fryer but mine was icy cold and raw. Very dissapointed and very poor.This is also not to mention watching the fryer eat with his fingers as he cooked, and then carried on without washing his hands.Very unpleasant. And no website, facebook page or email address to feedback this information to them.

I travelled from Liphook to get the best chips, and sausage I've had in years.Great sized portions. Excellent service. I will be visiting again. 10/10 on food and service. Well recommended. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I don't normally write reviews but a recent trip to Andy's fish bar just made we want to share my experience. If you didn't know there is new management who took over a couple of weeks ago and the food tastes great!I have to say the fish is the best I have tasted to date, I was told the new management has over 15 years experience in the fish and chip trade. I will be coming back soon again. Thanks for the lovely tasting food. 24/12/2012

My experience of Andy's Fish Bar is completely the opposite to the first reviewer. The fish tasted floury, the sausages had no taste at all and the chips so bad we had to throw them away. However, the worst part is the dirt! I can only decribe the waiting area as filthy, with black dirt all around and rubbish littered on the floor and under chairs. I will not be visiting again!
