Costa Coffee in Waverley

Big Thankyou to Conor (store manager) for preparing our food and drinks so fast I let him know our train was at 10:52 and wanted to know if he could do our order in time which he did. Thankyou so so so much we made it and now currently eating our bacon rolls

Weak coffee, unfortunately. Very noisy location with a constant throughput of customers with baggage. (It can't be a very nice workplace for the staff.)

Only a three star because i didn’t get any food, delicious drinks, really nice service!Go here for a snacky and hot chocolatey type of place! 😁👍🏻

Terrible service 4 staff on duty only one serving rest chatting until the one girl working told them to serve as there was a large queue. Ordered a black Earl grey got on the train to discover it had milk in it! Poor service

Friendly staff helped me to choose a cake as I never had one from Costa the large latte was hot and full of flavor

What a lovely bunch of people! Always greeting with a smile - well I assume so, can't really tell with the masks on. Hygiene is good, looks clean. Coffee tastes lovely and a fresh latte is a treat early in the morning. Service is as quick as can be expected in the circumstances, mind that cash is not accepted!

We purchased 3 almond croissant to have with our coffee in our journey to Glasgow. We were really upset when once on the train we found out they weren't fresh. Clearly these are yesterday's croissant!!! If I'm going to pay £2 per croissant I would expect they are today's at least. So, we not only felt disappointed, but also, ripped off.

Pish service 3 people behind me managed to get their drinks before I did and that was after I waited 10 mins for 3 people in front to be served. So on go here if you want to wait far to long to be served then watch other people get their orders before you because of the side they decide to put you on. And then to top it off the cappuccino was as flat as regular instant coffee. Won't be back!

So I was a little disappointed by the staff in this place. I ordered my coffee and was greeted with stifled laughter by the man on the till, who then laughed with the girl who made my coffee, who then made my coffee and commented on the way I spoke with another employee. Kind of rude - I get you may need to find enjoyment through customers but I didn’t earn being laughed at for no reason.

A double queue system always frustrates me when one line moves faster than the other and you're toe-tapping to try repress train timetable tension. Everyone is in a rush, so why not just have a single line? Friendly service here from one chap.. the others were like a human/android hybrid.
