Nice old pub with lots of character, a great beer selection and decent food menu. There are tables outside but no playground etc for young kids.

We've just had the most fabulous meal. The burgers were excellent, especially the Mexican one. Ham, (duck) egg and chips was the best pub version I think we've ever had. Lovely welcoming staff and a history packed environment. Great quality food, good portion size and good value. Will definitely go back for more of the menu.

A great old village pub. The meals are great value. Would recommend anyone to have a sandwich and soup, especially after a walk. The beers are great as well. Would recommend anyone to pop in

Lots of great beers, friendly landlord= good environment, food good but not a gastric pub. Car parking and lots of tables.

Went here for Sunday lunch after a long walk with friends. What a cosy pub! Loved the eclectic barn, so much to look at! The staff were friendly and attentive, the carvery was amazing; generous portions and a great choice of meat, lots of vegetables to help yourself to, even a fabulous cauliflower cheese. The lunch was just like a "proper home cooked" meal, with gorgeous crispy roast potatoes, the desserts were lovely too, huuuuge portions. We don't live in the area but would definitely come back, it's a little gem of a place, thank you.

Brilliant. Really nice carvery, wonderful staff, excellent choice of ale. Glad I finally got here after driving past it for many years, definately returning, cannot recommend higher.

A great old fashioned British pub! If you haven’t been here before then you should 100% try it out. Cosy seating, friendly people and a good atmosphere.See you again soon !Carlo

There is a good selection of drinks and the food is ok. The staff generally are really friendly but there are a few staff members who are really rude. In particular a guy behind the bar who seemed to be in charge. He had a terrible attitude. Very grumpy, dismissive and unpleasant. Put us off returning. Odd considering all the people he presumably hired were so nice. Maybe they should be running the place?

I only stopped in for a quick drink but this place was a fun and quirky find. A superb range of beers on tap, including oddities such as Qwak. The walls and ceiling are decorated with crockery, pitchers, drinks mats, and vintage signs, creating an Aladdin's cave of collectibles! A great atmosphere without being too intimidatingly local.
