Very basic pub. Lots of swearing, so definitely not a family pub.

Friendly atmosphere with welcoming staff. You don't need to be a regular to come in for the occasional drink.

Had a wonderful Sunday Roast dinner & pudding. The food was all fresh, none of that tastless pub chain processed rubbish. Proper home cooked hearty food, large portions (thank god we didn't have far to waddle back to the car)I'm going to go as far to say that I cannot remember the last time I had a meal this good. Management are extremely welcoming & catered for my daughter who has dietary requirements. Our little pooch even got a doggy treat. We'll be back very soon! This is how you run a pub ! 👏

Great prices on drinks, lovely service, fantastic staff. Will definitely be going back £15 for drinks for 7 people sooo cheap.

Traditional type pub, small with pleasant garden, a few real ales including the local Hogsback brewery's TEA. Today on Saint George's Day they hosted the local Morris side, mummer's play and an English folk session.

Food, especially the roast potatoes, was amazing.Entertainment......superb 🎤♡

So I have to say after my Sunday afternoon visit to this pub that my faith has been restored that there are still some great places to go for a drink. Very friendly with a great atmosphere, cold great tasting beer with plenty of choice. Home cooked food and somewhere to sit outside and a large public car park right next door. Considering the times we now live in it is very reasonable priced and even the owner was there to have a friendly chat with. Highly and totally recommend a visit.

Absolutely love this pub! Been going here for years an no matter how many times the owners change. The atmosphere doesn’t and the food just gets better! Recently had the wake for my granny here and the food they put out was amazing! Everyone loved it

Very Friendly and homely old fashioned pub. The Staff are polite and professional in their work, nothing is too much bother for Karen and Tim. Great atmosphere with the locals popping in regularly and Friday night is Karaoke Night. Perfect location as close to the Canal where you can stroll at your leisure then pop in for a beverage and meal. Meals are only available on certain days of the week so check first not to be disappointed. Every Sunday Chef Tim cooks a traditional Roast Dinner, both Adult and Child meals are available. Again it's best to book a table in advance not to be disappointed. Overall a lovely little Pub with locals who are Friendly and I enjoyed my time there.
