Swan Inn in Waverley

Spent the night in one of their "comfy" en-suite rooms. Large room (5) with giant bed and huge shower. Large, soft towels, quality toiletries. Excellent water pressure shower. Very well equipped with large TV, Nespresso, loads of instant tea/coffee, kettle, iron & board, hair dryer. Lightweight but adequate duvet and great pillows. Dinner in the bar was good food but a busy evening for friendly staff slowed service a little. Recommended.

Have been coming here for nearly twenty years, Like the new decor but bar staff need to up there game as regular customers who just want a normal pint, glass of wine are standing around to long waiting for cocktails to be made ! Need more staff behind the bar & they need to get to know the locals & smile to a warmer welcome. Food is very good. Could wipe tables down a bit more often! Definitely don't like the box of knife & fork think a bit unhygienic wounder how many hands have opened them while eating !! Not great ! Early days still a way to go ! But worth a visit or stay .

My wife and I popped in for lunch lovely decor and really nice place. Friendly welcome and food was good. There are some negatives however, the speed of service was slow and it wasn't busy, had to wait a bit to get our order taken and after we had finished our main course nobody came over to take our plates and ask if we would like anything else, we probably would have so business lost. My wife had to find somebody behind the bar to ask for the bill. We got a got a half hearted goodbye from a lady behind the bar that didnt look up as busy on her phone! The refurbishment promises a lot and really hope it is a success but a bit more attention to the service would go a long way.

Food was great, nice variety to choose from. It was fresh and delicious. Beers and Ales were of great choice and the staff were superb. Really friendly and engaging.

Lovely pub, really nice decor, good selection of drinks, looking forward to going back and having food as it gets highly rated and looks like a lovely place to eat. The garden is lovely and away from the road so nice and peaceful, ample of parking front and back. It is definitely one of the more expensive pubs in the area, but it looks like the money is spent well into making a lovely looking pub.

We came for Sunday lunch on Mother's Day in the newly relaunched Swan. WOW, what a fantastic meal (both veggie and meat options were delicious) and the desserts amazing! Beautifully refurbished and cosy pub. The staff were brilliant - nothing was too much trouble. Our waiter, Martin, was very friendly and super attentive. Would highly recommend and will definitely be returning. Many thanks!

Great location with a stunning (heated) garden. The food is delicious and good value for money. The facilities are outstanding. The staff are polite, attentive and welcoming- particularly Amy, Sarah, David, Martin and Sam. 10/10 would recommend.

Recently reopened after a major refit by the new management, their efforts have clearly paid off. Great service by Martin. Not ridiculously over fancy, well prepared and very well presented. Definitely worth a visit.

Just went for a drink on a Saturday but it has been beautifully refurbished. They have done a really stunning job and the staff were very helpful serving drinks and getting us a high chair. Highly recommend!

Just a quick visit for breakfast, my croissant was fresh and the coffee was delicious!More importantly, we received the best first-class service from Jessie. He really could not have done anything more for us!!
