Classic country pub handy for walks, with an eclectic modern menu and big selection of real ales.

The food is below average. I liked the look of the menu, and was expecting a foodie pub. Buttermilk fried chicken burger was tasteless; completely lacking seasoning and the bread bun tasted very basic (like cheap supermarket value range). Fries clearly aren’t home made either. Nice decor and staff were pleasant enough, but that’s not enough to make me return.

Favourite pub in the area. Great food selection on menu and always excellently cooked. Local beers on tap too - Hophead always a winner! Very efficient staff and beautiful outdoor area, with climbing frame for the kids too. You just have to find it...! ;-)

This is a fantastic local pub. The Ales are very well kept and it has won many Camra awards. Not eaten lately but the food always looks superb.

Note: our visit was pre covid but it was so lovely so I thought I’d give it a review anyway!!It is very dog friendly, even to the bigger pups with several bowls around outside which was great for the hot weather! The menu is quirky and unexpected for a pub and that’s always a plus. All in all, another unplanned and brilliant find for a road trip stop. I will most certainly return :)

Fun starters - pretzel with rarebit dip was a goodie beer nibble. The seasonal bubble and squeak balls came with more jalapeños than you might expect! Cobb salad had great chicken, bacon and avocado but a bit short on salad leaves!

Enjoyed a really nice meal here with friends last Friday. Had previously only popped in here for a drink but the food was excellent with a varied menu at sensible prices. The pub is tucked away on the outskirts of Farnham. There is a nice patio area with plenty of tables. Look forward to eating out there next time when the weather's a bit warmer.Great pub and service. Thanks guys.

Food was wonderful. The roast was amazing but the desert was the star of the show. The meat and yorkshire were wonderful, gravy was amazing and they provided a gravy boat for extra which gets a bonus point. The potatoes could have been crispier but that might be down to personal preference, there were a lot of old dears there so maybe there dentures would struggle with crispy potatoes. The desert, when I say this was the best brownie I have ever had and i mean it. It was SO gooey and soft, it was incredible, if i hadn't been so full from the roast i may have ordered a second.

Really nice pub, which is well hidden and you would never know it was there. Parlimg is also available. Amazing atmosphere and good outdoor space. The food was cheap and super tasty. I would definitely recommend to all and will return soon
