The Castle Inn in Waverley

Had brunch last weekend, excellent food, good service... although it would be nice to be asked how we were doing a bit more. Excellent atmosphere, lovely

Very disappointing, late lunch for eight all of which everyone had something dissatisfactory about their meal, very dry roast pork (x2) and chicken (x3) (needed washing down) very large tough shinned roast potatoes that I could of done with a steak knife to cut, same scenario with the over done yorkshires, seems like they had been sitting and being kept warm for quite some time so very hard, Also the service wasn’t great, we were asked by the server to pass our menus down the table to her even though there was plenty of room around the table for her to walk around the table and collect them from us individually, good veg though hence the two stars. Not surprisingly I will not be returning. Complete waste of £165!

Breakfast is between 10 and 12am a bit overpriced went on Mother's Day for £27 which does include bottomless tea coffee and soft drinks but not cappuccino,latte coffees. Also nobody's breakfast was that hot so don't think that we will be going back again.

I didn't think I could leave a better review than I did on my last visit but, again, they have excelled themselves. Food, as usual, far better than what should be expected. It is absolutely divine.What sets this place apart from anywhere else, is the service.I was met by the guy who clearly had everything under control, and then moved on to managing the bar.We were then taken care of by the lovely lovely Georgia Smith, who's energy and personality was absolutely nuclear.What a fantastic girl she was.I will never forget my 64th Birthday, especially when she guessed my age at 34. 🤣If you book a table here, and I recommend that you do, call and ask if Ms Smith is working that night.P.S, I only gave 5 stars because I can't give 10.

It was my first time visiting and can say that i was pleasantly surprised.The staff were very friendly and quick to help.The dry-aged pork was really delicious, cooked to perfection.The starters were also all very tasty.It's definitely worth a visit if you are looking for a place to eat nearby.Great service and great food.My only negative point is that it was a tad too warm inside.

We had our post-wedding brunch at the Castle Inn and we couldn't be happier, the service and the food were top-notch as usual!If you haven't had breakfast or brunch here you are missing out!! especially the hash browns are just on another level.Thank you for having us! and shout out to Adriana for all her help from the booking process to looking after us on the day!

Fantastic evening out for my birthday.On arrival we was greeted at the door, where we was asked to check in to the NHS app or we happily gave them our details to log into the system for us before being shown to our table.Cocktails and mocktails are amazing and you can really taste the difference when they are made from fresh ingredients 😍.Staff were always around to be seen and we was not left to long between drinks and meals which was fantastic 😊 even on a busy night.Food had loads of fabulous flavours was really good 😍.They hold 2 for £12 cocktail hour wed, Thurs,Friday 3-7pmbottomless tapas mon-fri believe the times was between 3-6 had a few drinks by the time we got to the tapas talk 🙈and Bottomless brunch over the weekends 😱.I'm sure I can remember them saying all details are on there web page ☺️

Football and a great footy menu, book a table as footy tables are limited, food was amazing we picked a share board from the footy menu and the. Cheese bacon chips, as well as another share board from there summer menu. Food was fantastic ☺️ atmosphere was great! Our next table is already booked! Come on England

We had a lovely experience eating out to help out. Both our meals were great and our 3 year old really enjoyed his children's pasta meal.
