Very poor food, tiny portions and rundown outdoor furniture with splinters. The burgers aren’t made on site so you can only have them well done and they were very disappointing. The fish pie was tiny and its curry flavour was overpowering and the pulled pork bap was dry and tasted only of mustard. The fish and chips was good though. A lovely setting, good service and nice play area are let down by the food.

Well worth a try. Book to guarantee a table.Excellent food, service and plenty of parking. But for those with walking aids: it would be helpful if there were a sign saying the sloping path from the disabled parking area goes NOWHERE. The level access is gained from the road entrance.

Well what do you say, this is one of our go to pubs that we go to on a regular basis, not any more, the food was poor quality, poorly presented & over priced, the burger was not as good as a Mac Donald’s at a fraction of the price. £11.25 for a small glass of rosé wine, rip off. On the last two visits we have had to change our order because what we wanted from the every day menu wasn’t available. We had gone out for a valentines meal & ended up with a very disappointing meal, we voiced our thoughts to the manager of the evening & received an apology. The last straw was when we received our bill which had items on it that we had not had, yet another apology it’s just not good enough & it was obvious that we were not the only dissatisfied customer that evening. It is such a shame to see such a good pub go down hill like this.

-Good location for a nice drink and dog friendly.- disappointed with the dry aged rump-cap of British beef I personally don’t think it’s worth £18.50 my expectations were different.Overall a very beautiful establishment but I think I’ll stick to drinks.

Stopped off for lunch on our walk of the local area. A pleasant spacious pub in a picturesque setting. Two local ales on offer and the one sampled was excellent. Friendly staff fast service and good food from a varied menu. A little on the expensive side.

This restaurant was superb in every way. The attention to detail was superb and I highly recommend the soup as a starter! That’s the best butternut squash soup I have ever had! And the napkins all had the Duke of Cambridge symbol on them which I thought was a lovely touch. I highly recommend this restaurant and the food was amazing! Keep up the excellent work and quality.

It used to be a great family friendly pub with unique local atmosphere. But now it's been changed, especially the quality of the service has been downgraded. Our family had a very unpleasant evening. It seemed that there were some problems with ordering and serving system - they served a wrong drink, dish and never served the desserts that we ordered. It was very disappointing and unprofessional service and attitude from the staffs, especially the manager.

A lovely country pub with excellent food, staff and atmosphere. I visited with my elderly mother who is on crutches, the staff were so considerate to our needs. My mother had the haddock and chips which was a very large portion and delicious. I had the Best of British platter, it was truly delicious. I only just managed to finish it.

Really impressed! Lovely outdoor seating area. Good choice of food and specials. I had the halloumi chips to start and in my view if you don't choose these you'll have food envy of anyone who does! The rest of the table shared a mezze platter which was very good and easily enough for 3.Mains were 2x steaks (very good), chicken supreme and the flame-grilled smoked bacon loin - like the poshest 'ham, egg 'n chips you've ever had'... so, so good - but so filling I couldn't possibly manage a dessert... which was a shame as I'm assured the pavlova and brownie were delicious!Topped off by excellent service & banter from Joe our waiter.Great food, lovely setting and reasonable prices... would definitely come back next time we're in the area!

We are thoroughly impressed with this restaurant. As parents of small children we are always trying to find places with good food and a great playground. The garden at the Duke of Cambridge during Summer ticks every box and you couldn't ask for better. The menu is limited for the garden area, but I had a burger that was seriously delicious and I'm really fussy about burgers. Delicious soft serve ice cream for dessert, always a hit with the kids. The staff were helpful and friendly. And the playground is just perfectly situated. You can sit down and relax while the kids have a ball and are completely safe. Wherever you sit the playground is easily accessible for the kids to come and go, as well as for you to keep an eye on them. Really brilliant, we'll definitely be back again. (I've been once before during Winter when the garden wasn't open and so we sat inside. Food from the full menu was also really stunning and delicious!!)
