We had a lunch on Saturday with friends, My wife and I ordered Crab fish cakes, well there was no detectable crab in the mash, some kind of fish though, but not much mainly potato, and for ÂŁ8.50 a rip off, I then had a chicken satay salad, the salad was good however the few pieces of chicken had been cooked and then had peanut sauce dribbled over, very underwhelming and very overpriced, this used to be a great food pub until Youngs Pubs took it over, what a shame, I was in no position to complain as it was a treat by our friends for her birthday. We will not be coming back.

Our waiter Sam was friendly and helpful, food was delicious and the pub had such a wonderful atmosphere! Thanks for a lovely cosy evening! We love this place.

Excellent country pub. Good atmosphere, quite crowded but with a friendly buzz! The food is excellent if you're looking for a meal. Quite pricey but worth it if it's a special occasion.

Nice pub, friendly staff and fast service especially through the app, but truly terrible burger. Pretty much raw, swimming in grease and blue cheese was so overpowering. Missed the mark by such a long way. Genuinely the worst pub lunch I can remember. Shame because a lovely pub and doesn’t see to be what others have experienced. I guess you’ll just have to find out for yourself!

Beautiful country pub. Mushroom soup was excellent. Unfortunately, the bread was dry + hard - staff didn't seem particularly interested when I asked them about it. Portions very good.

Welcoming, attentive staff and an amazing Sunday roast, tasted as good as it looked. Will definitely be back

Absolutely the best fish & chips (mainly the fish which was moist in the lightest crunchiest batter - clearly the chef is a magician) I have had in a long time followed by an Afagato which was served with a Amaretto (which I gave to the wife as I was driving) was simply superb.

The Grantley Arms is a good reliable eat, the menu always recognisable but seldom without some change and usually more interesting than most.We prefer to eat there at midday and in the upper bar. This is not our preferred time to eat but the staff are less anxious and the median clientele less shouty than in the evening. We like the staff; the beer is well kept; we feel comfortable there. A good popular pub.
