The Princess Royal in Waverley

Really lovely atmosphere, staff were welcoming. I stayed only for a drink but the lunch menu had a good selection.

Great food and service. Dog friendly. We had a large family celebration so pre - ordered our food. Really well looked after by the staff, nothing too much trouble.

We stayed here for a night, a last minute booking, the staff was absolutely brilliant, always with great disposition and a smile. Premises were very very good, room was great with a great couple of complementary drinks in the fridge. I can definitely recommend it.

Fantastic place, really polite staff, nice food comfortable beds. Stayed a few times one negative point, room 14 heating didn't work so had electric heaters. It was cold.

Had a wonderful time, room was lovely and quiet for a good night's sleep. Breakfast top class, and staff very welcoming.

Food was fantastic, chap who looked after us in his Red Christmas jumper was a pleasure to talk to. Was going to take pictures but couldn't stop eating.Myself and partner had Roast Turkey and Roast Beef.Both stunning.Highly recommended

The rooms are very cute and comfortable, i was worried about the squeaky floors but it was not an issue i slept very well. I had dinner in the Bar/restaurant with was lovely, and breakfast was very nice, great selections. The staff were very friendly and inviting :-)

Was there for a function (work party!)..all good as far as I'm concerned. Food was delicious, served to 50 plus relatively efficiently. Bar was well-managed given the numbers...all round a good experience.

Very nice hotel. We arrived late, but they were happy to accommodate us for a late and very pleasant evening meal. The room had very comfortable beds and the nicely equipped and appointed. The shower room was very accommodating especially for disabled or the less mobile as it was a wet room. Breakfast was generous and varied. Staff were very friendly and attentive.

Stayed for three nights in August 2021 - room was clean and comfortable, with tea and coffee with a fridge with fresh milk, still and sparkling water and even a complimentary Fullers Beer. Shower with toiletries, big towels and plenty of instant hot water. Road noise not a problem as double glazed with secondary glazing, and in-room air conditioning. Breakfast included and cooked to order, with plenty of choice. Staff helpful and polite. A hotel is only as good as it's staff, and we visited another Fullers establishment nearby and the experience was far from good, so please look after the team you have here, Fullers!
