My husband booked a table for the 2 of us and our 2 year old daughter. I am Coeliac so he specifically asked if the roast was GlutenFree to which he was told yes.Once seated and ordered the food. We soon found out a main thing that comes with a roast - the gravy wasn’t gluten-free. This was hugely disappointing. There was also no Vegetarian option being gluten-free.All 3 of us had the chicken roast and it was overwhelming and somewhat insulting at the size of my 2 year olds dinner - it’s was the exact same size as an adults!Overall I’d rate the dinner a 2 out of 10. I asked if the cauliflower cheese was gluten-free and was told yes, as it’s just mixed with cheese and not even a sauce. The veggies were extremely soggy. The potatoes were very dry and hard and bruised which was hugely off putting.I didn’t have the stuffing but once my husband cut into it, it flew across the table where it was burnt. The same as the Yorkshire - again I didn’t have it, but was far over cooked.Upon asking for the bill I did speak to the waitress about how unenjoyable the meal was and she almost looked straight through me and said “sorry you feel that way” and edged the payment machine a little closer.I couldn’t believe it moreso and what was a terrible meal and then topped with bad service.

Beautifully presented food, lovely flavours, great service, good prices. The Sunday roast is quite a large helping, as is the children's portions, but still lovely. One of my party said the chicken was a little dry, but that's the only negative. Puddings were delicious, and they had lots of great choices. Best sticky toffee pudding I've had in a long time!!

Was rather disappointed today have come hear a few times with my family that live down in Surrey. We walked in and the young woman with blond hair was behind the bar , my mum asked we had a table booked , but it was in my other family's name she was quite condradictive , then she noticed we had an extra family member ' the table is booked for 5 ' we explained that yes it was one more guess I can add on a chair' was the reply when we got to the table we could see it was to small so moved to one that was not reserved but bigger to fit all of us in on it was as if we had inconvenience the staff member she was so rude huffing and puffing. She came and asked for drinks , I said I wanted to pay at the bar separately as I was paying for them. " well a tab has been added ' the girl replied. I explained we are separate and I am paying for the drinks so I want to pay at the bar she gave a really inconvenienced look at me and another rude look as well.My dad's chicken was rather dry , but the rest of the good was tastyI hope when we next time for a better service and staff being friendly

Saw only one member of staff in the whole place, at the bar or New Years Day. Asked if we were able to go ahead and sit at a table (because no staff to give any direction), response from girl at the bar was "you're going to have to wait I've got a load of people to serve". I explained that I just wanted to check if we were ok to sit at a table and get some lunch without a booking, got an eye roll with "just sit, it'll be fine". This member of staff made us feel like such a nuisance for even approaching her. It was very clear our business was not wanted, so walked straight back out again.

Lovely pub, friendly helpful staff and very generous food portions and a big selection of drinks with a lovely beer garden. We will visit again

Fantastic food and great service. One of the best pub roast dinners I have ever had!

Really nicely done up and friendly staff / customers. Only stayed for drinks so can't comment on the food. My one piece of feedback is to look after the beer better. I had two different beers and neither were as fresh as they should be. Both perfectly drinkable but clearly could have been looked after slightly better. Didn't detract from a nice visit though.

Good selection of Ales.I've eaten here a few times I've the years as it's changed hands on numerous occasions. At first glance the menu is a little uninspiring and basic. However, I opted for the huge 8oz burger. It arrived well presented and was very enjoyable.

Nice place, staff friendly and reasonably priced with more than enough food per serving. Roast beef is the best out of the roast options we went with, pork was dry so I traded plates 😅

Fantastic Sunday dinner. Call ahead for a table and we were placed in a lovely spot as you can see. The atmosphere was lovely and the staff were very attentive. The food was fantastic I've no grumbles at all it was cooked so well. Very good value for money and I will certainly return.
