·

Good fish restaurant with well spaced tables. They also serve grilled fish which is quite unusual.

·

Lovely restaurant, delicious food and the staff are friendly and helpful. Prices are competitive and nice atmosphere, highly recommended.

·

We normally go here for takeaway cod and chips. Fish is always cooked to order and is the best we have found in the area. Chip portions are generous and are great to eat. Staff are friendly and efficient.

·

Very nice fish restaurant that does the traditional plus very nice grilled fish, nice staff and plenty of room.

Been going to the Traditional Plaice for years and have thoroughly enjoyed the food. The dining area has its own atmosphere which is pleasant one. So imagine my horror when my son was about take a bite of his steak pie... Little mold? No, not quite. More like a small fungi farm as can be seen in the image. Furthermore, when we informed them their response was: if you like to come down, we'll give you a refund! That was it!!! No apologies, nothing! Wow!!

Love this place. Not seen my eldest son since September, we decided for a trip out to Farnham for a walk, and for our usual chippy lunch from here. Best chippy I've had since my childhood growing up not far from the coast. Lovely guys so happy you've survived the pandemic 👍

Cod and chips - excellent! Been to this place on a number of occasions and never been disappointed - Takeaways or sitdown. Really good quality, decent portions and always nicely cooked. If I want fish & chips, this is where I get them from.

Used to be ok (but with small portions of chips), but standards have dropped even further. Ate in the restaurant this time, the fish was small and did not taste fresh, the portion of chips was really small and the chips were overcooked, and peas were undercooked. The restaurant setting is underwhelming but fairly traditional. The staff remain friendly however. No plans to return sadly.

Fish and chip shop, takeaway with a sit down restaurant, with a convenient access from one of the major car parks in Farnham. We have been visiting regularly at lunchtimes, and I believe they also cater for evening meals. They have a lunch specials menu inclusive of meal, bread and butter, and hot drink, with two sizes of fish portion.Other specials and desserts are detailed on chalkboards around the walls. There have been recent staff changes, and on our latest visit, they appeared to still be settling in.

Appalling food, disgusting service - AVOID. I thought this place might have improved from years ago - nope, still shocking.I turned up at 1705hrs with my young son for an early supper, opening time stated 1700hrs. No staff in sight, no food, no cooking going on. At 1715hrs a furious looking man, who looked like he had just murdered someone, glared at me from across the counter. I said 'Hello?' - no reply. Three members of staff then turned up, walking around in circles for 10 minutes, not one of them acknowledged me.At 1725hrs I said 'Can I order please??' - to which one of them took my order, remaining in silence, yawning. The other two members of staff then took 20 minutes to cook two pieces of cod and chips, together, wandering around the kitchen, chatting away, with the furious looking manager/owner standing over them, watching his every move, occasionally barking at them.1750hrs - food finally ready, handed to me, again, in silence across the counter. When I arrived home, my son, who was having kids cod bites and chips had two tiny pieces of fish and six chips. My cod, like his, was 75% burnt batter accompanied by 11 chips. Absolutely revolting food and really tight portion sizes. Shocking for the price. What on earth were 4 people doing in that kitchen for 20 minutes??They claim 'all food cooked fresh, hence the wait'. No - more like the manager/owner is terrified of having one or two chips left behind at the end of the night. Overall a really horrible experience, I would rather starve than visit this place ever again. I wasted 40 minutes of my life tonight in that shop!It deserves no stars, but had to select one to submit the review.
