The White Horse Hotel in Waverley

Breakfast was a disaster. Empty bottles of juice and then, once replenished, no glasses. Had to ask twice for tea and coffee. Waited about 10 minutes before someone took our order and a further 30 minutes before it was served. That said, the toast was served about 25 minutes before the breakfast. Bacon not cooked and the scrambled egg was one rubbery lump. The waiting staff didn't know what they were doing. A lack of training? Room was nice.

What a lovely hotel with fabulous staff. Helpful and polite. The room was lovely and we have enjoyed our stay. Breakfast was excellent and again, all the staff were super accommodating. The night manager Adam was also very nice and welcoming, as was his wife. We would look forward to a future stay. Thankyou for making our stay so wonderful.I recommend you book a parking space prior to your visit.

Amazing 2 night stay, beautiful surroundings, and luxurious rooms. Breakfast choices were plentiful, all the staff were very knowledgeable and super friendly, the ability to pre reserve parking was a bonus.as was the dog friendly, allowed in public areas. Can't wait to return.

Stayed here for work last week. The suite is very nice, the bed is amazing. 👌🏽Through the window you can see a typical English street. 👀Breakfast is on a menu, they have pancakes. 😋

I post in relation to our plc company regional business meeting with over 20 delegates. The room & set up was immense as were the facilities. We were warmly welcomed back and made to feel valued. A truly excellent venue. I forgot my laptop charger which was a challenge as I had a lot of slides to present. One of the team, Jordan, ran home to get her personal charger and saved the day and my blushes. Jordan literally went the 'extra mile'. I cannot express how grateful I am and thank her profusely. The whole day was perfect as was the food and the service. Thank you to the White Horse team for exceeding expectations- we will see you later this year.

Great cute boutique hotel just an hour and fifteen minutes from london. We stayed there for the week end. Spacious room and dog friendly. Close to everything and car park available

Room was nice, although a little chilly. Food was hit and miss in general and extremely overpriced for the quality, although the cooked breakfast was fantastic. Staff are very nice but seem to be under pressure from under staffing. Waiting times for service were slow considering how few people were there. Having waited 15 minutes to checkout as no one was on reception, I had to go and find a member of staff, they called who I assume was the manageress, and the 5 people in reception overheard her saying 'we can wait'. Highly unprofessional. Overall the hotel is in good order, but management and the food are a let down. We won't be returning.

We had a wonderful stay at the White Horse this weekend. The room was lovely, the breakfast options were absolutely delicious, and the staff were all friendly, helpful and efficient. Really delighted.

Lovely hotel with a great room and comfy bed. Unfortunately the food was really unpleasant - and the service was some of the worst I’ve experienced. Shame as it has the potential to be a great place but sadly the restaurant is really atrocious. Eating there did ruin our evening as we spent so long waiting on every course - wouldn’t have minded enormously but the food was really terrible too when it did come. Would definitely stay in the hotel again but not go to the restaurant.
