Gorgeous little tea room. We had cream teas in the garden, in the sunshine! Service was fast and friendly, the food was delicious and the setting relaxed and comfortable. It was a lovely place to find but we'd definitely go back.

Really lovely tea house in amazing 500 year old building. The food and the cakes we're delicious and the tea and coffee was great too! We didn't have afternoon tea, but saw others that ordered and it looked really lovely. The staff was really friendly and attentive, family run. The interiors and the decorations are really nice and there is a lovely garden at the back. Would recommend anyone who's in the area to visit this place!

Really lovely Tea House. Beautifully decorated, with a really nice garden out the back. The hot food is really tasty - simple fresh ingredients really well cooked. The cakes and scones are the best around, and there's a great tea selection.Definitely pop in if you are in the area - it's the best place in town.

Can not give this place enough praise, Great atmosphere, friendly and observant staff. The food was great with an Interesting menu and great attention to detail. It really felt like a place run by people who care about and took great pride in what they are doing.

As soon as I walked in I was made to feel very uncomfortable due to having muddy wellies on and ushered through to the garden to meet the rest of my party, we had had a lovely dog walk in February and naturally we were a bit muddy! I hadn’t even sat down when someone came out to take our order and instantly moved the cushion my 3 year old daughter was sitting because she had got a little bit of mud on from the bottom of her coat stating we needed to “respect our property” naturally my little girl thought she was being told off by a stranger and took her coat off in cold weather to eat outside!!!! My scones were doughy and under cooked, the hot chocolate was ok, not that you could taste the chocolate just the hot! My mum and godmothers food was ok. Which was a shame as being 5 months pregnant and having been on a nice long walk I was really looking forward to sitting down and enjoying the food, instead I felt very on edge the whole time. We not be revisiting, would prefer to go somewhere child and mud friendly!

Badgers Teahouse! Wow! What a lovely, cosy little tea room! The food is simply delicious, homemade and nicely served! The homemade soup is wonderful and so tasty! Excellent, kind staff. Wonderful place for a "battery recharge" from walking around this lovely village! Nice seating outside! 10 out of 10 guys! You won't be disappointed! Perfect!

Stunning tea room with ever so kind staff members welcoming you at their door steps. Scones taste heavenly, so does their selection of teas. Service couldn't be any more friendly, attentive and professional. We have been coming to Badgers for almost 10 years now, and it never disappoints. If you are around Alfriston, definitely pop in for some snacks and drinks.

Fantastic, picturesque tearoom with dog friendly garden area. The afternoon tea looks small when it arrives but fills you up perfectly. Sandwiches, cakes and scones all absolutely delicious and baked on site. Served on proper china with silver teapots. Wonderful experience. Would definitely return and recommend.

Ended up coming here based on a recommendation and did not regret it one bit. Unfortunately they didn't have the cream tea that I ventured there for, but their Victoria sponge and flapjack were very worthy replacements. The five stars isn't just for the great tea or the cake, but more for the warm welcome and feeling during the visit, the lovely garden area and the friendly conversation from the recent owners. If you're in Alfriston or you're passing through, make sure to make a stop here. I'm sure you'll be writing a review of your own like this.
