An unique tearoom beside entrance to pevensey castle, well worth a visit, food is very good, so is the ambience, very interesting

This tea room is amazing. Clean, friendly staff and very good food. I came here with my son after spending the morning at the castle. We were greeted by a lovely lady called Carolyn who indulged my seven year old. We had toasties and scones. Everything was freshly made and fabulous. They played 1940’s ish music and the interior is retro without being gaudy. Perfect slice of Sussex life.

Just outside the walls of Pevensey Castle is this charming tea room, that is like stepping back in time to the 1940s with its music of that era gently playing from an old radio and service with an old fashioned charm it is a lovely place to visit for hot drinks and homemade cakes. You can sit inside or in the garden and watch a friendly Robin, sparrows and other birds that visit

What a lovely find. Tucked behind the 1500 year old roman ruins of Pevensey Castle- there is a lot left- is the fabulous Castle Cottage Tearoom. I kid you not when I say they were The Best scones I have EVER eaten!! Lovely ambiance and super dog friendly. Go. Eat. Drink but please leave a scone or two for me ❤️

What a fantastic place. We came down to do a walk on the Pevensey Levels and round the Castle and had lunch here before we set off. I had cheese scones with chutney and cream cheese and it was amazing! My wife had Toasted Sandwich that was also great and wonderful pot of tea. Everyone there was so friendly and found out it opened as a tea room in 1874! Everything about it is perfect and the cheese scones reminded me of the ones my Grandmother used to make! We will return many times :)

Lovely little tea room for sandwiches and cake. Very cosy. Situated on the perimeter of Pevensey Castle. Cute little salt and pepper pot!

Lovely little place for tea and cake. Look out for poetry crockery and also the unusual salt and pepper Pots. It is quite tiny but on sunny days there are tables outside right under the castle walls. Then we come to the tea and coffee which were very good but outshone by the cakes. There were even glutton and dairy free ones. Don't miss it.

Cosy little tea room located on the perimeter of the historic Pevensey Castle grounds. Good choice of sandwiches and cakes. Freshly made to order. Delicious. Friendly staff too.

Quaint tea room with a lovely first impression from the outside. Pleasant and friendly staff and all food cooked fresh so expect a little wait (this was explained to us when we ordered). Varied menu and lots of lovely fresh cakes and warm scones.. definitely worth a visit.

Brilliant tearoom, perfect location on a lovely summers day, but be warned it can get busy really quickly, is worth booking ahead to avoid disappointment. Prices are very good, especially for cream teas and afternoon teas.
